Chris: So that gives the builder less influence. You’ve just mentioned military engineers, what will they be focused on?

Sarah: The military engineers build the ports as well as the roads.

This article came up today, it seems military engineers can build ports. What do you think this will be?

Perhaps an improvement on a coastal water tile that lets units embark without spending their entire turn?

Maybe it is related to the canals Ed Beach has been referring to?

You may need them to heal your ships and they could provide zone of control and defence bonus to ships inside the port. And yes used for embarkation.

We know from tool tips they make airports and we have an image of such a airport outside of friendly borders. Perhaps that is what she meant?

For more clarification, the airports I am talking about are military style air fields, not commercial airports. The image was with the release of the America first look I believe.

Bismark [sic!]? Extra city slots? Argh!
Do native English speakers use 'port' when they are talking of airports? In German the word Flughafen also contains the word Hafen, but I would never use it to refer to a Flughafen.
I believe what Denkt already said.

This is the latest tooltip we have so far. I have yet to see the tooltip in the newest ill-fated build so things might change in the moment.
