Post a picture of your empire

Okay, I took a panoramic shot, I'm gonna try and post it in this edited post.

EDIT: Okay, here goes. I took multiple screenshots and overlapped them in Paint, and put the minimap in the bottom left hand corner. Obviously the Hawaian Is. are put there out of context, I didn't feel the need to copy/paste screens of blank ocean.

EDIT II: Somehow Salt Lake City got cut out of the map! Wierd...

EDIT III: And Carson City, too.

@Cheezy - Bismarck should be further east. Current Bismarck should be Thunder Bay, and Thunder Bay should be Winnipeg.

Good call man! T Bay, Thats my home town and Im happy were not so far north as Nipigeon lake(or Win Manitoba). Jeez! its freezing enough being on the north tip of Superior never mind livin another 6 hour ride closer to the N pole. I dunno This looks to me like America if it had won the War of 1812. I might get used to the T Falls thing though, is that A real Minnesota city? .;)

Anyway I like the way you (Cheezy the Whiz))post your whole map like that. The look makes up for a few mistakes in accurancy. ;)

Very nice! I used that technique also, for the preview of my south-eastern central Europe map. :mischief: :D

Also @Cheezy: your Cincinnati is right where Cleveland should be. Cities roughly the same size, why not call it Cleveland.

You have room for Tulsa or Oklahoma City between Dallas and Dodge City; and you could stick Omaha west of Minneapolis.

Also, I just noticed, 'Albequerque' is misspelled--correct is 'Albuquerque' :)

Cleveland is an ugly name. I like Cincinnatti, it reminds me of Cincinnatus, the (IMO) greatest Roman Dictator.

Actually I can't. City foundation is restricted to certain tiles called "Ideal City Location," it allows the game to run smoothly on a 396/306 map. 'Tis my mod (the one in my signature.)

The city of Cincinnati is, in fact, named after Cincinnatus. There's even a Statue of Cincinnatus there.

In my current game I play as Persia. Had a long war against the Celts to the southeast - managed to get all their cities except Richborough, which the Indians got. I really wanted those spices, and the city had Temple of Artemis too. Oh well, I could take it later on :D

I'm not so good friends with Egypt, so the next war will probably be against them. The two other civs you can see on the map are Portugal and Babylon. Babylon finished of the Byzantines on the eastern peninsula.

Looks like a fun game, Mirc! What is your goal? Domination?

I have made some progression in my game. The discovery of Steam Power around year 800 revealed that I had no coal within my borders, by a very small margin. A quick war against Egypt fixed that :)

My plan wasn't to start a world war, however, that happened. I asked Greece to join my war against Egypt. After I had accepted peace with Egypt, Greece asked India to join the war. Egypt, on the other hand, got Portugal and Babylon on their side.

I had a small hope of not getting dragged into the war, but when Babylon asked for Medicine and I refused, they declared war on me. I will let them get Richborough, so I could capture it later. Fortunately, the Babylonian troops are obsolete, so crushing them should be easy :hammer:

Well, it's the first game I played when I joined CFC... I jumped straight from Chieftain to Monarch. :D I destroyed the Egyptians and had no plans for the future. :( So I just forgot the save somewhere on a CD. Some time ago, I had a sudden wish to play that game again and see if I progressed. And boy, did I progress! It was full of mistakes, I had 6 workers and 70 cities, I had even as much as 7 warriors in useless cities...

So around 1425 I did a huge reorganization. I built workers, researched, improved my lands, built cavs... I was more than half an era behind everyone in the world, when I took the game again. Now I'm 3 techs behind the most advanced civ, 1 tech behind the second most advanced and the other 2 are way behind. Also I was 5th in score, and now I'm 1st. And I destroyed a civilization (the strongest civilization... ;)) in 5 turns. I'm hoping for Conquest, but I'm not sure if I'll have time... 1705 AD already.

Oh BTW did I mention when I took the game again my best troops were Legionaries and my enemies had Infantries? :D Actually, I did have some cavs, 3 in total!! :smug:

wow, 5 turns..... that is a very short fall for a large country.... seeing as most of my wars last about 20 turns, and i don't normally take the country over in that time. :( i usually have to declare war a few times, normally 2 to kill em' if that was my intensions

Chieftain to Monarch? Thats's quite a jump! If it's just 1705 I'd say you should go for conquest ;)

By the way, in my game I have a good tech lead, and want to change government to something more war-friendly (I'm in Democracy now). What should I choose? I would probably take on the rest of the civs one by one. I have already crushed Greece.

I know, it was hard! I will try to go for Conquest, I just don't want Babylon to get Tanks too soon... :please: They are about 2 techs away, and I'm 4 techs away.

Well, for a more war-friendly gov... if you're going for short wars, go for Republic. If you're going for long wars, I'd say go for Monarchy. I don't particularly like Communism, but that's just my opinion. The corruption is too weird for my normal play style. :crazyeye:
