How did you lose diplomatically? It seems like you're the only one in the game.

My main land mass prior to the vote was the long skinny continent on the right. There were 8 other civs at the time, IIRC.
I thought I could pull off the diplomatic win, lost, and then proceeded to wipe all the other civs out after the losing vote. The screenshot is the final result of that. I guess I was a sore loser.

^Did you make your own map?
No. Just a tiny 80% water randomly generated map. I used HOF rules to give me some structure, played with three opponants and I employed as wide a spacing model as I could! Using CAII, I can tell you that the seed number is 32237487.

With a better map I could have finished earlier as I couldn't space out those cirties enough to minimise the border overlap.

Concerning Tone's map above:

I'm not sure I've ever seen an SGL just chillin' on some hills. (look E, NE, NE of Berlin). Pretty funny to me. :D Obviously Tone was far enough ahead that no wonders were needed...or could still be built.

In my current game I play as Persia. Had a long war against the Celts to the southeast - managed to get all their cities except Richborough, which the Indians got. I really wanted those spices, and the city had Temple of Artemis too. Oh well, I could take it later on :D

I'm not so good friends with Egypt, so the next war will probably be against them. The two other civs you can see on the map are Portugal and Babylon. Babylon finished of the Byzantines on the eastern peninsula.

God damn it's 310AD And all those cities are growing. mine never grow :( and you sure have alot of cities, do you mass-create settlers early on?

^looks good; minimap please?

It's not made of cities, but it's part of my empire.

that picture is a little old... i took over the Inca since then, and won a diplomatic victory

My current game. I'm Rome, and have just conquered Korea and Greece. I'm about to discover Astronomy so that I can cross the oceans and find the other civs. Also planning on invading Mongolia and Carthage.

The city of Cincinnati is, in fact, named after Cincinnatus. There's even a Statue of Cincinnatus there.
That's a pretty nice picture of him, from Sawyer Point, I believe?

Cheexy the Whiz said:
Cleveland is an ugly name. I like Cincinnatti, it reminds me of Cincinnatus, the (IMO) greatest Roman Dictator.
Cincinnati, please. And Cleveland is an ugly city, too. But the Columbus on your map- is that supposed to be Columbus, Ohio?

Scandanavia, 1932. I'm currently waging war on Carthage (see Kamchatka peninsula) and Greece, with aid from the Byzantines and Romans. The Germans used to occupy the US seaboard and all of Canada, but I pushed them back onto Greenland some time around 1500 AD. England used to occupy Southern South America, but I took them out a loooong time ago (see New Zealand). Egypt used to be the most powerful Civ in the game, but Rome and Greece eventually forced them out of Europe and now they're bottled up in Tasmania.

I only control about 30% of the world, so I doubt I'll be able to get a domination victory before the game ends.
