Back in my civ3 rookie stage, I wanted to control the caribbean as a dominican empire. I'm part dominican, other parts being puerto rican and american (born in nyc, brooklyn) so the latter two could be bunched into one, but I haven't found a mod for a dominican civ.
Civ: Dominican Republic

Cities:
Santo Domingo
Santiago
Puerto Plata
San Pedro de Macoris
Azua
Duarte
Cibao (a region really, but just use it
![Wink ;) ;)](/data/assets/smilies/wink.gif)
)
La Vega
Elias Pina
Pedemales
Barhona
Higuey
Moca
Punta Cana
The rest of the cities will just be other latin american cities captures (caracas, panama city, etc.) as I plan using this in a caribbean map or a standard or smaller world map (my cpu cant handle bigger maps).
I dont really have a name, but just put in Generalismo for the UU. +2 power, +1 vision over other destroyers. I found the Dominican military website, but they don't develop unique equipment, only advanced maritime and aviation equipment. Their marines are trained by european and venezuelan instructors. That would be my chose for a uu, but the navy seal would be stiff competition, and in civ4 (i dont have warlords) there are no unique navy units that I know of.
The Dominican republic (along with the future Haiti) were one of the first (if not the first) to defeat the major european powers in sequence. We went toe to toe with france, spain, and britain, in that order, to gain independence. General Tousaint Louverture of now Haiti could be an alternate leader, but he accosiates more with Hait.
Thank you all very much who take the time to make this interest of mine come true.
