Post War Mod(s)

Well, my sis has ToT, but I'm too afraid to ask her, mainly because I've never played ToT before...

Also, does the same converter convert MGE scenarios to ToT scenarios?

I don't know...

Test of Time is basically like regular Civ 2, but with animated graphics, multiple maps, an extended original game (you colonise Alpha Centauri), and two new game modes (fantasy and sci-fi)...

Animated graphics?

No wonder why I still prefer MGE.... :mischief: (I don't have to spend eternities making moving graphics... ;) )

I know that the CivConverter can convert scenarios and graphics from MGE format to ToT format, but I'm not sure if it works the other way round. It also doesn't have a GUI, so it's completely command-line based, and I can't make it work correctly with the XP command line interface. But I know it works in DOS, since I've already used it to export my personal modpack from MGE to ToT. The screenies I posted earlier are from that modpack.

But there's no way I'm backing off from using ToT now. Compared to MGE it has a lot of functions that improve scenario making a lot, like the new way of handling unique units and techs. ToT has native support for that stuff. It doesn't include a graphical editor though, so you have to edit the text files directly. But that's a challenge I welcome. I'm a bit experienced with it already.

Another reason not to use MGE is that we want two maps, a surface map and an underground map. That just isn't possible to do with MGE.

Is this the type of thing you wanted?
*Based on work by unknown artist.

Yeah, it's good, just one other detail: the bird needs to be blackish in color. Otherwise it's pretty much what I had in mind :)

*Chukchi Husky howls

The top right one could be used for a hunter, the one on the second row third column could be used for a scent marker... the one next to it simply looks like a smaller version...

I don't know if this goes too far...

Some of the techs may need a name changed to a more appropriate one, and the tree may change once everyone else has finished theirs...

The Contact Event could give a Great Library like wonder. This event is meant to represent that the wolves remained very far behind in tech while the other nations advanced into the Modern world... Vectored Thrust will come after the Jet Engines technology (which could be given with the event)...

some alternative mining and farm graphics ;)

yea, we need more unit designers, i am simply a unit tweaker, :p and some strange designs here and there,

The marine Towelites had a few unique deep-sea weapons platforms. I'll dig up the relavent passages on them later, but one of them was a massively extending tube that allowed a missle to be shot from deep under the sea.

Also, the Moles and marine Towelites should have acess to underground RR, call it high-tensile tunnels or something. Would give them unique advantage in their realm whenever landgoers tried to invade.
