Power of Rush Buy Mansa immortal

Lol brenus was going to rush as!
Power graph is interesting, did they change AI in last pach? Because from power graph Brent Mirror our power raise.
Or Brenus was going to rush as or ...

Well, it seems we lost, redo?

I wander, how mach land there around at all? It does not look like Brenus expand at all.

OK, here an other one.
I swear I just save first start I role. It is actually my principle, play first start I role.

OK, played a few turns.

found in place, set research to fishing.
Produce warrior and then workboat.
I decided that there is no alternative to brose working, with our supper food start.
After fishing - bronse working - agreeculture?

WE got lucky hunting from hat. we actially standing next to second hat right now. But otherwise AI picked all hats.

WE have lowelly neibors in meting order:
Alex - Maxmed - Cesar

Land we know: no cooper in sign.

Propouse second city: gold+ ivory, 2 happiness resource.

State of capital:
Capital20000.jpg

Mehmed is ~13 tiles from Timbuktu. Yes, there must be an AI capital up the river due to the map bug, I'd guess also ~13 tiles from Timbuktu, but we don't know. I suspect Mehmed will turn out to be the better target: no UU; no jungle; more Granaries and Workers; another Gold; Fur; Marble in time for the GL.

Unless we find Copper nearby, it looks to me like a Sword rush after 3-4 cities total would give the best timing. Swords would let us start with Mutineer's Gold/Ivory city and develop a little and build some roads. A Chariot rush looks difficult to do early enough (and compromises Gold/Ivory), and our land doesn't look good enough to wait for Construction. But does anyone think that a Chariot rush after 2 cities (Timbuktu, Horse) or 3 (Timbuktu, Gold/Ivory, Horse) might be the better choice?

Assuming we don't find Copper, I suggest building something like 2 WB / Settler / 1 or 2 Workers / Settler and researching IW, then either Archery if we need it to grab Iron, otherwise continue to Mysticism / Agr / AH. Agr costs 90 and saves 30 on AH and 25 on Pottery, but looking at the map, I don't think Agr / AH needs to be a priority: we have other improvements to build, and I think it would be better to aggressively find and grab Iron.

That desert river without FP is a sure sign of a capitol up river

Yeah...makes you wonder if the better move is to found directly on the Elephant. You'll need a border pop to pull the Gold in, but depending on what is in the fog it might be the way to go.

Played a bit more turns.
ResearchedAgreeculture-Animal hasbentry. WE founded city on hourses.
Find 2 cooper Near Maxmed, we can not claim them. WE have hources, so no problem. After second Work boat produced warrior, grow city to size 4, set worker and whipe it with full overflow, grow city to size 3 and producing boat from overflow. Put a bit more into barrack to grow city allmost to size 4 and set producting to settler.

Villages were hostile. Meat Gandy, we seems to be on a big continent.
I am still the same opinion about second city. It will have oasis in first circle for original commerce and grow, food special and 2 happiness accessible with out border expansion.

One warrior exploring near second city and one more healing and intended for a bit more fog basting.

Here land and capitals we know.

Well this looks a little better.

I agree about the spot for the city.

I'm thinking we need to get some chariots out as barbs will soon cross culture. So I think MM to grow to 4 turn before to get a 2 pop whip and use overflow to build a chariot, and another from the chop. If I lose the warrior then I think build a third. Then build another worker--I think mine the hill and get road to city2. City 2 whips monument asap.

I'll play a bit tonight and pause for comments.

Tech myst-pot.

I would not whipe monument in city 2. It will grow very slow and should be used as commerce machine.
Grow to size 2 working Oasis and producing monument naturally.
This 3 good 3 commerce.
Second citisen work Gold Mine we should build at this time + 8 gold 2 shieilds.

This let as reseach fast true ansient tech.
Monument only give as 3 food 3 shield tie, no that actual.
In future we will have +3 food tie from lake.

So, it is mach better to let MOnument to be build naturally.

OK here we go:

2400....
IBT we defeat barb warrior but take 7 turns dmg.
2360...decide to mine vs chop the forest.
2320
IBT woodsman2 warrior encounters barb war and wins (75%).
2280...
2240...
2200 switch to chariot. Myst in--pot. Grow city to 4.
2160 back to settler-whip( 2 pop).
2120 finish chariot.
2080 char-char.
2040 mine hill (chop). Timbuktu grows back to 3.
2000 char-worker. Found Djenne (monument).
IBT lose woody2 warrior to barb archer :( 27%
1960 pottery in--writing.
1920...
IBT oracle BIDL
1880...
IBT SH BIDL
1840...
1800 worker-char.
barb city formed by pig/wheat.
oops forgot to change build from barracks to char in Tim--1 turn go into barracks. switch to chariot now.

stop here. Not sure how to proceed. In retrospect I think mining the hill was a mistake. I won't get the gold hooked up in time:( .

An idea: we might be able to claim the copper by Mehmed. We can found there is about 12 turns. Other possibilities: capture barb city, rush Mehmed.

At first glance I think the copper is worth a shot.

I can't see any other places to settle. I spent a lot of time healing and didn't want to cross the desert with the warrior so didn't get much scouting done unfortunately.

If we are to build cooper city and make it any usefull we probably need to build it on plain hill and it will take forever to connect it.

I think we probably should do it anyway or explore a bit north of barbarian city. May be there potential city cite there.
But yes, this desert river seems to put some problems on petential settling cite for as.

Why did you research Pottery and Writing? What was your plan for the game?

Why did you research Pottery and Writing? What was your plan for the game?
I probably should have waited longer for comments.

Pottery for granary/cottage make writing cheaper. Djenne needs gran since we want to work gold. I was assuming we research alpha and trade for math and IW. Alternative was go for IW and hope to settle iron city. What I don't like about that is not too much quicker than the alpha-trade, and we're pretty sure on immortal we can trade for both (we need math for the all important con).
