PowerBar Training Utility

Just wanted to say thanks for everything you've done with this program. Keep up the good work!

everything is working pretty fine except when i click the unit option before it opens i get "unable to apply selected filter" and when i click the teleport option i get "run-time error '13': type mismatch am i doin anything wrong ?

I haven't bought civ4 yet. I have a couple questions related to this great powerbar program. Does civ4 have a built in trainer like in civ2? If not, are the caretakers of the powerbar program going to update it to work with civ4?

thanks,
Ben E Gas

I wish I at least got an error message. I am running 1.29 CivIII: I run PB, load the game, start an actual game, then hit the load button...
it says loading, but the status bar doesn't move, and I get no error messages. It just doesn't seam to do anything at all.

Any clues?

Works for me but can you add a feature to destroy cities/civilizations or at nthe very least starve em out by forcing food production to 0.

I bought Civ4 today. It has this thing called "World Builder." This seems to operate sort of like a trainer. It lets you change things like city population and acquired tech advances, and money in your bank. I'd still like to see an independent trainer though.

I agree, a trainer like powerbar would be great. Does the world builder work while you are playing a game? In other words can I continuosly edit my civ and AI civs during my saved game or do you have to use world building before you begin the game?

Thanks for the info.

So far as I know, the World Builder works ONLY while a game is in progress.

How long does the "loading..." display take before it input your game data (cities, and etc) into the trainer? Mine just says loading for a good deal of time and does not allow me options to do anything else.

Is the Help tool still availible. When I hit it ... it goes to what appears to be a closed site, so no help info is avail?

Please, I beg you to update this great utility program to be used with Civ4. Is that in the works?
I know that civ4 has the world builder, but it doesn't compare to the easy and quick use of powerbar. The world builder is nice for adding units wherever you want, but not for adding cash to each player or many of the other great features power bar had.

Hope Powerbar plans to get an update.

This is happening to me too. I'm running Civ3 Gold, v1.27f. So annoying :(

Just checking, are you sure you have loaded your game first. A game must be started first before loading powerbar.

Absolutely. I've tried opening PowerBar, then Civ3 and loading my save game, then clicking the "Load" button on PowerBar. It sits there with "Loading...", the HELP button, the X button in the top-right, and a H button in the bottom right... And doesn't get any further.

Likewise for loading my savegame in Civ3 before opening PowerBar at all. It simply sits there dumbfounded.

Have you started a new game after installing the latest Powerbar? Or are you trying it with an old save game? Also, have you renamed the leader? Leave the default leader name.

Leader name is default ("Ragnar Lodbrok", although it'd be nice to be able to use my own name...), and I have loaded the scenario from scratch. I've changed the rules around, such as boosting production through Mining and allowing Mining on Forest squares, making Settlers and Workers "All squares as road" and have given my Civ some extra starting advances, but I haven't modified anything overly ground-breaking (or game-breaking). The problem is persisting.

I've even tried an entirely "New game" from the initial menu, choosing a world size etc etc so no rules at all are modified that might be causing problems, and the issue still persists... So it can't be something wrong with my Scenario file, since the problem happens with a completely normal game.

No Mods have been installed; it's simple PTW 1.27f.

That's odd. Did you click on the tab for PTW 1.27f right after you click on powerbar? Maybe a dumb question, but I had to ask.

I've tried all three options with the same result :p Since "PTW 1.27f" was getting nowhere, I thought that maybe one of the other ones actually somehow applied, and so tried them too. No dice. :)

However I do have one theory: Do you know if ZoneAlarm (normal, not Pro) and/or Norton AntiVirus 2006 guard against memory hacking/interference? It could be one/both of those blocking the attempt to read and write to the memory locations, which would explain why it can't load.

[Edit: I tried disabling ZoneAlarm but leaving NAV2006 running. No change.]
