PowerBar Training Utility

Lambda... using the shift click for growth or production is simple, once you think about it. Press and hold either 'shift' key on your keyboard and then use your mouse to click on the empty box where the 'check mark' appears. For Auto Pollution, just move the mouse over the 'P' button and instead of left clicking the mouse, use the right button. Hope that helps.

And I'm also waiting for the auto-complete for roads/rails; but in the mean time, try building workers, using the methods above, don't forget to access the 'unit' tab and set your units to 'SU' or super Units, giving them unlimited mobility (points).

i've detected a bunch of bugs.
-run time error in INFO menu: city info and world domination tabs
-the suppress polution every turn and complete production every turn for every city doesnt seem to work, also there is a lack of information about using the shift key to get the function to work to all cities:am i supose to shiftclick on the icon and then shift click on the box to mark it?i really dont know how to use it.

i also wanted to know if the next version will have the road button and the pollution button working at 100%

very nice work, continue!

I'm sure it would help NexusHyper if you gave him a little more information about the run-time errors you've gotten - what errors, how to re-create the error, etc.

I also suspect the Pollution button is not working with C3C, but you can make up for that, as well as the Road, Highway and Upgrade buttons not working, with a few automated workers, as Boris Badenov said.

I'm currently working on trying to put together some documentation for PowerBar - I've given a draft to NexusHyper for his review, and I'll post it as soon as NexusHyper approves the content and style. I'm sure we're all anxious to have him programming fixes into PowerBar rather than writing documentation! :crazyeye:

it is very simple to re-create them, i just load the game into the powerbar, open the info menu and when i press those two tabs it just appears run time error, for me this always happened.
when i click on the city info tab:"Run time error '91':Object variable or With block variable not set"
when i click on the domination stats tab:"Run time error '9': Subscript out of range"

hope you can correct them now :)

btw thnx Boris and Jeannie

Ok, I have not been posting, but I have been ready the posts and problems. I didn't have much time today but did manage to fix a few issues and look into others.

I have uploaded the newest version to my first post which is 4.1.9 Beta and 4.1.9E Beta, you can get it here First Post For info on teh two versions read teh first post!!

This version fixes the roads/rails and pollution problems. You can now build roads and upgrade to rails with no problems. You can also clear pollution up. I looked into teh auto pollution and I may have fixed it but I am not sure. I also looked at teh auto timer and here to may have fixed it. Please test them I did fix the error 91 with the City Info tab, please note thise feature is not finished and nothing should display when you select it and there should be no errors now. I was unable to reproduce the error 9 and each time I went to Domination stats it worked just fine for me. I tried varies ways to reproduce it with no luck and I found nothing in the code that looked like it could be a possible error. I will test again when I can but then again it could be fixed in this version without me knowing by fixing the error 91.

CHanging teh year still does not work. And all the other problems I did not look into yet. These include, auto fill food/donate. Donate and food(not auto). Auto Timer (may or may not be fixed). Auto Clear Pollution(may have been fixed with clear pollution). Refresh issues/slow downs (With Jeannie's help determined to be graphics card related/Civ III related not powerbar nor CPU/RAM related).

Please test it out and report errors with ways to reproduce it if you can. I will get to it when I have time. Thanks!

Very quick work - thank you! I've tested roads/highways/upgrades, and yes, they DO work. So does the Pollution button and Auto-clean Pollution (I took one of my other test games with 80-some cities, turned off SU and fortified as many of my workers as I could so they wouldn't try to automatically clean polluted tiles, added coal plants to all those cities and watched lots of little orange splothes appear on my screen, and then disappear as soon as my auto-timer kicked in.)

And, yes, the auto-timer DOES work and I now see it flash red when it kicks in.

The blank production box still happens pretty much each time a city finishes producing something and I've chosen a new improvement that wasn't what CIV suggested. And if the produciton box is blank, the DONATE button essentially doesn't work, because Powerbar doesn't know what the city is productin. But the DONATE button works fine IF the Production box isn't blank.

Hmmmm - I've managed to get the 'Run time error 9' error on the either the INFO Domination screen or the INFO City screen only if I start up C3C, then PowerBar, go to the Info Domination screen and press 'REFRESH' on the Info screen BEFORE I've ever hit the LOAD button in Powerbar. Are you sure you've actually pushed the LOAD button in PowerBar? I THINK you have to push the LOAD button so that Powerbar initializes its data, so that might explain why you'd get those errors.

Ok, I fixed the INFO error 9 by making it so you can not Access INFO without pressing LOAD first!!! I discovered for sure that if LOAD is not pressed all the INFO stuff will produce eror 6 and 9 and such!!

The production problem is an offset problem. I just need to find the right offsets. That is my fault for over looking this and I will fix it as soon as I can.

Version 4.1.10 and 4.1.10E have now been posted on the first post!!

My notepad isn't working so I can't read the readme...so could someone cut and paste it into an e-mail and e-mail it to me at dragonlord8910@comcast.net please title it PB Readme... or if someone could explain to me how to get superworkers but not make everything super... Thanks in advance...

you can open the file with word or wordpad, just right click and open with, then u just need to choose word or wordpad to open, if it falls just let me know and i'll mail to you(i'd rather teach you to open it then send to you in an other format)

about the PB:
-the righ click-P doesnt work for me.
-the surpresse science and treasure for a civ also doesnt seem to work.
-the make enemy-friend doesnt seem to work and i have a question on this mather: is it possible to become civilization A foe of civilization B? note: neither of them is human controlled. if it is not then i'd like to request this feature (it can be very useful)
-run time error '9' in higway and road buttons, but the upgrade roads to railroads is working at 100%.

also:

i think it would be a really nice feat (existing in the multitool sge, i know it has nothing to do with a trainer): deleting a unit (for example in the unit tab menu (INFO button))

Great work on PowerBar. It has made the game a lot easier.

I found if I play any other civ other than american late in the game I start getting a "unable to refresh troop movement error" this does happen with American but not very often but with the other civ's it happens everyturn I not useing any auto function.

@knac1055, that's a Civ III error message not powerbar. PowerBar does nothing with refreshing troop movements!

Production now works fine
All Auto's seem to work fine (will look into supress more later)
Auto Pollution clean up works fine (tested this alot no problems but your Auto Timer must be enabled)
Auto timer works correctly.

First post has new version!!

The only reason I mensioned it was that after it happens I have to reload powerbar for super unit to work.
I just dl the new version great work

 WHICH new version - there have been so many of them in the last day or so!!!!

I've now got the 4.2.6 version and I can't find any bugs 'cept for the items NexusHyper has told as aren't fixed yet (like setting game ending year) and some stuff that was never fully developed in the older versions of Powerbar. The AutoTimer works perfectly; the Production box never shows blank; the pollution button and auto-clean pollution work, etc.

So let me join you in congratulating NexusHyper on his wonderful work. :goodjob:

Thanks guys! I appreciate it! I decided to knock these things out this weekend while I could! I believe there might still be a few bugs and I'll fix them ASAP when I have time! The end game year stuff might not ever work, I'm still looking into to but after 3 hours last night of messing with it I gave up!!

Hopefully soon I can finish the City Info tab under INFO. Not sure what I want to go here yet as SpiderZord didn't finish it but did give me an idea of what he had in mind for it. Give me some time to mess around with it and I am sure I can get something worked out soon.

I am going on vacation for a week starting Wednesday so it will be awhile before I get things done. Thanks again, and continue to have fun with PowerBar!!

Nexushyper-
Let me congratulate you on all your hard work. PowerBar has turned out to be great! I have yet to run into an error other than what's listed. And once again, congrats on getting promoted. I'm sure it was well deserved.

I've put together a draft of documentation for Powerbar 4 and uploaded it here:
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/PowerBar_4_Draft_Documentation.zip.

This is a WORD document created with Microsoft Word 2000. I'd be interested in suggestions for a way to turn it into something that's easier to use and to update, so please let me know about other tools I could use, preferably ones that are cheap (or free) and relatively easy to learn.

I'd also like suggestions for corrections or improvements to the documentation. Please post here in the forum or PM me.

I'm offering to work on this documentation for the next month or so, and then I'd like to turn it over to someone else to volunteer to 'own' it. (I'm unemployed right now - hopefully only a temporary situation! - so I have time now, but don't want to commit long term to being the 'owner').

I've given NexusHyper earlier drafts of this document and he's saiid that I can upload it here Hope it helps!
Edit : NexusHyper has added the Help file into the package when you download PowerBar, so I've asked the forum managers to remove this old copy of the file.

Yeah... I would appreciate help with that... the readme didn't help with it now that I can open it...

You can't do that - SU applies to ALL units of the tribe. I tried 'filtering' the units to just workers, but my Modern Armor was still able to move across tiles without roads for more than 3 tiles.

Nexushyper,

Thanks for updating Powerbar to be C3C compatible.

I do have one very minor quibble with the loading screen. You use check boxes to indicate what flavor of Civ3 to load. Check boxes should be used when multiple selections are valid. When having a mutually exclusive selection, a radio button should be used instead. Since it makes no sense to load for multiple versions, the check boxes should be radio buttons. Like I said very minor.
