They are the same. 4.1.0 has a flashing warning label. the Epilepsy version does not as flashing red is a know trigger for epilepsy.
As for the errors mentioned above.:
1. I can't re-load. I ctrl-alt-delete powerbar because it freezes.
I have tested this and press load again works fine for me. Prior to 4.1.0 THERE WAS A BUG with this, 4.1.0 fixed this and at this point I still can not reproduce it. I will keep trying when I have time.
2. I get the "can not apply selected filter" message when trying to go into the unit screen. Where the units usually are I get "00000 Barbarian Settler". By hitting the drop arrow, that repeats itself about 10-15 times.
Yes I know of this error when and ONLY WHEN you start going to PowerBar screens when no cities or very few cities have been built or very few units exsist. OR if you have timers turned off. The timers refresh things so if you have gone a long time playing with out refreshing (re-loading or timers) then PB gives this error because it doesn't have the correct memory offsets loaded. Each unit has a memory location. If that unit dies the memory is cleared so if you don't refresh PB looks for were it last saw a unit in memory. If it gets an error readng that location you get the 00000 Barbarian Settler.
3. Powerbar crashes on certain info screens and I only get information on the map tab and the tech tab. The crashes are those same subscript errors some people have been talking about.
Again, I know about this too!! This one happens to me everytime I go to certain Info screens when no cities ar ebuilt and/or no turn has passed. PLEASE WHEN USING POWERBAR LET ATLEAST 1-2 TURNS PASS BEFORE USING ANYTHING!! The first few turns contain very little memory info so that is why there are errors. In teh future I will try to code it to check what turn it is and if it's teh first turn make thos eoptions unavailbe! For now, let 1-2 turns pass! If you do that, liek I do, you will not find these errors.
I use nilla 1.29f with a really slow computer- 256mhtz sounds about right- Win 98 Compaq (I bet you din't know they came that slow in 98 *parents' fault*). It's using a scenario where the huge map has been reconfigured to giga (256x256), all the units except for leader have an automate button, and swordsman, calvary, and longbowman upgrade to future units.
As for scenarios, IF YOU READ TEH FIRST POST, it says that I do not garuntee this works with any scenario let alone work perfectly with the classic portion (or whatever it's called). This is a memory trainer and if you make a scenario with lots of custom things like tiles then PB will not work. CHanging tile looks is fine but adding tile types causes PB to mess up as those custom tiles use new offsets that PB doesn't look for.
AGAIN, PB IS A MEMORY TRAINER IT IS NOT PERFECT AND EACH PC BEHAVES DIFFERENTLY!
I will work on some fixes soon,... if I get a chance!
