    Sure thing, go ahead, I you require it, I can give you the UV mappings of the ships you intend to retexture (some of my textures are not retexture friendly :p). Just PM me with the list of ships you intend to retexture and I'll give you the mappings.

    There aren't more B5 canon EA advanced ships, however there are plenty of non-canon EA advanced ships (tho there are a few approved by JMS). I would like to make some of them (actually several) but I don't know If those will fit the B5 mod, if they do consider it done, if they don't... I could make them, tho it might take longer.

    The race known as Streib sometimes sends ships into other races controlled regions of space with the purpose of attacking other races small vessels and capture live specimens in order to both acquire information of the other race's level of technology and to experiment with their captives for purposes unknown,... perhaps they are looking for good prospects of invasion.

    looked at bit if it´s possible to improve (some) the units in nifskope. Here are some edited models of your last ship pack.

    Spoiler :


    the top row shows the unit with environment light and gloss texture (beside setting the spec colour to full black and diff colour to full white in the material settings) [called gloss versions, because it´s simply how to add gloss to a non shader model]
    the middle row shows them with additional added glow texture (i only did the windows make glowing) [called gloss_glow versions]
    the last row again shows the gloss version, but the bright side

    All models are still not rigged (so the are still non shader models. Imo even if looking better, the gloss_glow versions are problematic, because they are a bit texture intensive - i wasn´t able to reduce the texture size compared to the diff without losing to much details (so they use a 256 diff, 256 glow, 128 gloss and 64 env).

    If you want to edit your models this way (explained at the Brakiri Cidikar gloss glow file):

    • the important thing is the "NiTextureEffect" (Node 18), which should be child of Scene Root. The texture "Environment_FX_Space.dds" seems to be the special final frontier environment texture. If you check your shared folder you will see that is more than one "Environment_FX_...dds" to choose
    • you must also add this node as effect (not child) node to the parent node of the affected model (here DUMMY_Destroyer_Hull - node 8, because your model is a child of this node)
    • now you can add a gloss texture to your "NiTexturingProperty". Set "Has Gloss Texture" to yes and add a copy of your diff texture (NiSourceTexture) as texture.
    • change the texture name of the NiSourceTexture of the gloss texture to the name of your gloss texture
    • if you want a glow map, set "Has Glow Texture" to yes and add your glow texture like described with the gloss

    Because the glow slot is reserved for the enviromental texture if you create a shader units, i only know this non shader way to add gloss and glow to units

    If you want to add a shader to your units, you must rig your meshes to the dummy nodes in Blender before you export them (a small how to is part of my animation tutorial - starting with page 4 - you have to import your models twice [if you don´t use your blends as base], first import the model normal and afterwards import again the nif with the "only skeleton" option). Afterwards you create a skin partition for them (or create the skin partition while exporting). After chosing the shader (most suitable should be "TCiv4MechShaderGloss") you add the enviromental texture from the above non shader models as glow texture and the gloss texture as gloss texture. You must also add the diff texture as "Decal 0 Texture" or add a proper damage texture there [but if you want to use a damage texture, you should copy the entire TextureProperty from the unit which animation/damage texture you want to use - there are some informations needed for a proper working damge texture]. Additional the diff texture must be assigned to the details texture and not the base texture (this slot will be empty)

    as example, i made the shader version of the Velarian (velarian_fx.nif)
