Print screen not working

I got my new PC on windows XP.

When I hit the print screen button it prompts me that no printer is connected thus preventing me from taking a print screen.

I work with firefox but it does the same in IE or windows for that madder!

im pretty pissed, can anyone help?

Hmm, maybe try a program to capture screenies? Fsscreen is pretty good. Maybe the Print Screen button by itself directs to connect to the printer in order to print whatever you captured.

I would help more, but i'm not a whiz when it comes to changing things like this.

Unless you've gone tinkering with settings, you probably have a 3rd party program that's altering the behavior.

In DOS, yes. Windows, no, not by default at least. To "print" something doesn't always mean putting ink on paper.
