Problem with Reinstallation/ Please Help!

Hi, this is my first time using the thread, but I hope someone can help me. I installed Civ 3 onto my computer. When I installed, I chose the 'minimum' option, which only stores 500 MB instead of 700 MB to the computer hard drive. Yet as I attempted to play the game, everything went really slowly, so I decided to uninstall. My goal has been to reinstall with the 'maximum' option of 700 MB, but I haven't gotten that far. After pushing the 'uninstall' option, I continued to delete all files pertaining to Civ 3 from the computer C-drive, until there was nothing left. Then I attempted to Reinstall. But the Install Manager, or whatever it's called, has the same screen pop up, and nothing changes. When I try to play the game, a screen says something about the computer missing a 'bink' folder and not being able to play. What can I do? Please Help! Thanks.

Delete the InstallShield Information folder and try again. The InstallShield Information folder is located in Program Files and is hidden, so you'll need to turn on show hidden files in Windows Explorer.

you probably have solved your problem by now, if you haven`t visit my thread of 13th Dec 03 there may be something there to help you.

Unfortunately none of the answers there directly addressed my problem.

If you have found the solution I`d really like to know it because it may help me.
