Procylon's Call to Power Project

Mmm, then perhaps, to balance out those unfortunate that don't manage to have the resources, the mod could set up a "guerrilla" warfare, or something like that? The talibans don't have the tech nor the equipment as the USA but they put out a fight with simple AK-47 and RPG's.

I dunno, make a "nationalism" level or something like that, that would be higher for empires that are at the bottom and lower for empires that are at the top, making squashing others empires with tanks while they still have riflemans a bit more hard, or something like that.

I realise that there is a big lap until this mod become "balanced" but it's a start, no?

I reinstalled v9 version of the mod, but with the dlc fix( I dont have the dlc), and when I tried to load my modded save, it wont work, runtime error. When I tried to start a modded game, it takes a long time, and when the game started, it says I already won. Also the speech in the beginning is for Mongols instead of Ottoman. I only could play my vanilla saves. Help!

If you don't have the DLC why you install the fix? It's a separated download because it might cause trouble.
Try disabling it and any other mod, just have this mod enabled.

I did, still the same. Also..I had to downgrade my ati drivers from 11.3 to 10.5 because it gained me fps in Napoleon Total War.

Sjru that doesnt make sense, nationalism has nothing to do with the size of a country, and guerilla warfare isnt the reason old weapons can still kill. Even a crossbow or sword in these times can kill a man.

All that needs to be done to balance oil-rich countries in this mod is to have a cheap (or expensive, but not requiring oil) anti-tank unit.. It's really simple.
Just an anti-tank gun that needs to set up to fire, or a good rpg marine unit that costs alot upkeep (to prevent cheap ways to nullify tanks), but at least gives non-oil countries a chance against the tanks.

I remember when this mod used to go through 2 pages in a day. Nothing lasts forever.

I feel your pain ikillu64 but you must understand we all are waiting patiently for Decimatus' situation to improve in Japan before he returns to us, you must admit that this is worth waiting for and I need this Mod to work for my own sanity too.

I will wait for as long as is required, stay safe Dec.

Indeed. However I believe that some kind of "cultural tech diffusion" could be implemented, so as to prevent some countries falling faar behind those at lead. Of course, by saying culture I mean that by no way the Aztecs that are isolated would magically get arquebus when someone at the other side of the world gets machineguns, just for the sake of balance.
The goal should be that neighboring civs would not have a big tech laps, while isolated or far away civs each other could still be on the medieval-era when they met the modern-era USA.
These are just suggestions.

You're talking about the Medic and the Demoman, no?:lol:

Try deleting your cache - C:\<username>\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache

It gets cluttered up with mod data from all the mods you've installed and can cause havoc if not cleaned regularly. (You don't actually have to delete the folder, just move it's contents somewhere else).

Yeah don't worry ikillu64, D said he's still working on the mod. I think it shows a great deal of promise that this thread can still keep moving without any post from D; it feels as if certain people have stepped up to answer questions until D is ready. That, my friend, is a good sign :).

Nope, doesn't work.

Hi Daniella, maybe you should delete both the DLC fix and the mod from your mods folder and reinstall the V9 mod on it's own (make sure the is nothing else showing in the mods folder) and try again. If you experience the same issues then I would recommend a full reinstall with patches, if using steam then this will happen automatically and then start a vanilla game. If this works then reinstall the mod and you should be good.

Also consider a fresh download of V9 just in case

Vanilla game already works hun, only while playing my modded save and starting a modded game. What do you mean by fresh download of V9? I already reinstalled the thing 2 times.

Started a game with this mod (v9) and no luxury or strategic resources spawned at all. I never saw a single one, in a whole game.

Is this the way it's supposed to be?

Nitro, I've just had the same thing happen; no resources at all!
Huge Map, Inland Sea, Warlard, Marathon, 12 Civs, 12 City States, very high resources

This is only the second time playing with this mod. My last game was rather barren too and had one of everything and two of oil, horses, iron, and something else. Still got a save game hanging around.
Small map, four corner, warlord, epic, 10 civs, 0 city states, standard resources

This should really be in the first post to save me putting it on every page... Some map types don't support the changes he made to the way resources spawn. These maps don't spawn ANY resources. So try a different map type.
Continents works great.

Hi Daniella, how are you today. Good to get this thread going again. My thoughts on this was if your vanilla game worked then it's a real possibility that the version of the mod (V9) that you downloaded is currupt and that you might re-dowload the file and delete both the mod folder containing the first install of v9 and the first file that was downloaded and start afresh with the new download.
I find that using the install mods feature from Civ 5 mods, while the game is running, works better for me than manually installing it myself.

Not in the slightest, this shouldn't happen. Can I ask if you are playing on a custom map like the Earth map for instance?

This looks like a currupt install of the mod, with the vanilla resources in place, there have been time where the game would stop working for me like this also and a delete of the mod and reinstall afresh fixed this for me

Yeah ThoricFrame is spot on here, I should have read down this thread first, Dohith!

I am using a different map generator called "tectonics" which makes mountain ranges instead of isolated mountains like the generators that come with the game.

I also tried V8 and it also didn't spawn any resources at all.

Other mods have have no issues spawning resources in that map generator though.
