Despite having accidentally voted for the wrong thing, I agree with this ^^.

All the others are terrible attempts at shortening an already short word just for the sake of it, and Civ V is just awkward.

Since Civ 4 was cIV, it's only logical I think that Civ 5 is ciV.

I'm surprised there isn't CiV like I see a lot of people call it. Personally I always call it Civ V as I think CiV is rather confusing and stupid. This type of abbreviation worked well with Civ IV because you could just write CIV and it spelled both Civ and had the IV in it. It was easy to understand. However, when people write CiV (or ciV), it looks too much like CIV, which people called Civ IV. So it's confusing, and everyone should stick to Civ V.

I voted for civ5, but I do like ciV too. I guess I'm good with whatever catches on.

Civ5. C5 reminds me of a C5 Galaxy and sounds too much like Canadian assault rifles (C6, C7, C9). Everything else can lead to confusion and looks bad. My 2c.

I think it should be called Civ Hex. Sounds cool and is an accurate reflection of what is unique about it.
