PTW units NOT all in C3C!

Due to legalities I do not hink you can post hese units in the units forum since they were made by the game company not any user. Although if they change their minds about allowing us to do so for he PTW units it would be nice.

As for not wanting to mod the game your right not all of us are civ-adicts (I very much am if I go to long with out it I get the shakes ). However... why are they not at least in the "Epic" game? That way all users fanatics and regular players alike can enjoy these units without the need to mod them in. I mean they are the game companies units right? And I did buy the NEW expantion that included the PTW core so they could atleast have a senario that uses all the units I have paid for (in buying PTW and now C3C).

I must re-state that I LOVE C3C and highly recomend it. I just wish that if they are going to make a more "robust" editor for the making of user mods, then give us ALL the tools to make mods.

c3c includes all of the dino units and all of the extras from PTW. All they said was no fan-made scenarios/mods/or maps that came with PTW like the TETurkhan mod.

realy could you tell me which folder they are in?

Did you install C3C on a clean Civ 3 or did you have PTW installed already? Stupid question but I thought I would ask.

I never opened up folders or anything but here's what you can do. Just open up the editor, enable custom rules, add or change the icon of a unit and go down the list. The first dinosaur is number 139 and I think it is an Allosaur. I'm not sure that means they will be animated in the game, but it might work if you make a civilopedia entry.

unfortunately they ARE in the units32.pcx however they are NOT in the extras or any senario, conquest or units folder.

That's terrible. I was hoping on making the "perfect" game with all of the units. Maybe somebody can help you, and now me out.

EDIT: Hope this doesn't sound like I only care about myself. What I mean is now I need help too.

The best way is to ask Firaxis to upload them (or include them with the patch).

What about the extra terrain? The winter and european one? Did they say no, or you didn't ask? Or maybe they said "extras" only? I planned a mod with winter terrain, that's one reason I was horrified.

I, for one, didn't buy PTW, because I thought everything (important) would be in C3C. I would be very disappointed if it's not.

But these news are good for all of us with tight budgets (and apparently: lots of spare time to write this...)

Yup but you will have to mod it in, thats to say add it to the pedia icons file and in the editor.

There are good tutorials on the subject.

Woohoo. I've just read news at CDG - MarineCorps wasn't exactly right According to the news, all extras content is available, so not only the units but the winter/euro terrain also
