Puppet States Mod (BTS 3.19)

Is there any way to control what state is founded? ie. what the puppets civ is?
 
OK. While I have your attention, I saw that BARBARIAN_FREE_TECH_PERCENTand CITY_BARBARIAN_DEFENSE_MODIFIER are commented out in GlobalDefines.xml. Can you explain what that is about? Are those tags no longer used?
 
OK, got home and installed this but I can't get it to work. So, lets make sure I understand what is needed. If I have puppet states enabled in teh options and I have tech Nationalism, then when I capture a non-barbarian city I should get an option to turn it into a puppet, right? Is there anything else that is needed?
 
Can anyone confirm that this mod actually works? I've tested it out and it isn't workiong for me. I thought my merge had a problem but the mod, by itself, straigt up isn't working either. I tested it by going into the editor, giving myself teh Nationalism tech, giving another player a city nearby to capture, and then invading the city. I only get the normal options of taking the city or sacking it. Am I doing something wrong or does the mod not work?
 
Mod (as a standalone) doesn't seem to work. Are there hidden conditions for the puppet pop-up to appear?
 
I saw you requested help on the choose leader and civ thing. I decided to give it a shot (in C++). Will update you later whether I succeeded.

Re: isn't working: You need feudalism (for vassals), too, and also the puppet state gameoption (I think that should be on by default, since you probably don't download this to play without that gameoption :))
