[PY] Main Screen Mod

Ket, you guys doing a great work with BUG. I would be happy, if you find something useful for BUG in my stuff. But my general coding abillities are too limited to be a real member of such a big project. It's..err..."beyond my sword" :rolleyes:
 
Alright it works! Thanks for including that in the file. Makes things a lot easier for folks like me who don't want to risk ruining my game.

Also, at first, I had forgotten to turn on the 24 hour clock and I was just getting the writing "cautious" and then when I turned the clock on, well there ya go it works. So remember to do that, folks!

imo there's a little mistake in the city-screen... the gold-amount for "buildings and specialists" isn't for specialists, only for buildings, because spezialists haven't the coin-icon but the gold-stack-icon and for this reason they were displayed in the full finance and not the special commerce part ;)

I've modified the RawCommerce part in the cityscreen to support other languages too by loading data from separat xml-file (including the remove of word "specialists")... at the moment only the second and third line are in correct language (with overlapping as a result of to long words), but the "Plot Raw Commerce" and "Net Raw Commerce" text displays a break to the screen :D ... so let me know if you're interested ;)
 
ok, here is new version of Main Screen Mod.
It includes:
1) GP Bar (Impaler)
2) Main City Scroll (SimCutiie)
3) Shows if AI is willing to trade tech, big amount of gold, big amount of gold/turn
4) Attitude icons
5) Replaced Great General icon
6) Two parameters for Domination Victory

ANY point can be changed/disabled. Just open file and change values in section "options"

Isn't it default in Warlords / BtS ? Or did you change something else I don't understand (what do you mean with "Chinese American" ?) ?

Options changed (Options--Other--Clock)
= Clock On - Civ/Leader names (scoreboard)
= 24 Hour Clock - Attitude Color Text or Icons (scoreboard)

what's changed with the clock ?
 
dimon157 has really done a great work with this mod. I think, we'll upload the latest version of MSM at CFC soon after patch 3.13.

It's default only in BtS Domestic Advisor Screen, not in City Screen. сhinese_american is a CFC member, who initially wrote this part of code.
 
I am running Civ4-Complete Edition (Civ4 Version 1.74).

I would like to show the turn number on the main screen in-game.

How do I do that easily? Do I need to use this MOD? Will it work with version 1.74?

Yes, download vanilla version of this mod and extract it to ...My Documents\My Games\Civ4\CustomsAssets.

Thank you very much Nevermind. I have followed your directions and have implemented the mod.

In the main screen I get the number of turns (but not the max turns) in the top right hand corner, the era in the top left, the attitudes in coloured words in bottom left. Leader names and scores are shown, but no other info.

In the city screen I get the commerce info in top left and the GP bar in bottom right, and detail of the GPs when roll over with mouse.

This is the first MOD I have tried, so please forgive my ignorant questions:

1. Is there anything more I need to do to fully implement the mod?

2. When I UNCHECK the 24hr clock the changes remain - is this what is supposed to happen? If I wanted to get back to the original Civ4 program, do I have to uninstal and then reinstal the whole program from DVD?

3.What does the following mean:
* - features that could be turn on by simple switches in modified CvMainInterface.py

4. Can the script shown under "MSM Options" at the download site on this thread be used to change and re-set options in the mod. If so, where is this script, in order to change the options?

I am running Civ4-Complete under Vista 32bit.

What file are you referring to?

I have turned the clock and 24hr clock options on, but, I don't see any new options in the OPTIONS section that is in the game itself.

I am running Vanilla Civ and version 2.2 of Mainscreen mod under 32 bit Vista.

you've to open the file "CvMainInterface.py" in "Mod\Assets\Python\Screens" with a texteditor (e.g. notepad) ;)
