Quebec Website tests the waters of Free Speech

Russel Peters is my fav.

I was recently in NYC and ran into a Comedy promoter who could not stop raving about him when he found out I grew up in Toronto.

With all that said ... I don't want to have to endure politically correct humour.

That is the job of the English canadian humorists. :p
They're not as funny as they were some years ago, but Rick Mercer, Marg Delahunty (Mary Walsh's "Warrior Princess" character), and the crew of the Royal Canadian Air Farce are happy to skewer anybody they think would provide a good source of satire. No politician, celebrity, or political party is safe.

As long as the government isn't censoring them, what is the problem? If anti-racist groups want to have some whine then let them

Worry not ... I love english canadian comedy. I watch it whenever I can.

I just couldn't resist making the gag. :p

Mercer is not as sharp as he used to be (nor are the Air Farce crew) but This Hour has 22 Minutes is still as biting as ever, although i do miss Mary Walsh and Greg Thomey.

Note to Canadian comedy fans: Walsh said in McLean's recently that if another election were to manifest itself sometime in the coming year, it might be time for the return of the Warrior Princess in her own election special!

Thats pretty much what I think, but on that note, why is Bell Canada sponsoring them?

...because they're popular, and Bell likes to have thier name alongside popular 'cutting-edge' media...and as long as business doesn't suffer because of this little tiff, they'll continue to sponsor them...
