Question about acheivments

Pardon if I am in the wrong forum but it seems that the steam client is aware and keeps track of my hours played and when I last played and all but it hasnt logged any new acheivments for me for weeks now and I have been playing an aweful lot and am sure I have unlocked several that still havent shown up. I would be greatful if someone could point me to the thread which I have no doubt exists that has already addressed this issue probably. Thank you very much.

I did some looking around and found a thread that said achievements wont work if mods are on. I guess that makes sense and that's probably it. I will have to try a regular game I suppose..

Steam will not track achievements if ANY mod is in use (even the clock) or if it is offline.

Yes, I really wish they would work with the clock.

And achievements will also not get tracked when you play offline.
And a dozen (or so) achievements are broken, so that you will never get them (that will hopefully somewhen get fixed).

Then the achievment for using a mod is not really a good acheivment, and you should then get an achievment for not using any mods since the other acheivement breaks the bank.
