[Question] Civilizeditor Features

cool! (that means it's working right?) can I get an eta?
 
I vote for formations and city-plots as well. Besides techs these are the most annoying xml files imo. Also artdefines would be good to adjust the scale of various models in game if that's possible that is. If you need to work on artfiles but have to wait 5min Reloading to see the effect of any change you make there...really hate that.

First of all, sorry for my long departure from the modding scene... between the holidays, real life, job, etc. I have been really busy but I have made great progress in the Civilizeditor. This is what is currently implemented:

- Tech Editor
- Unit Editor
- Unit Class Editor

In the unit class editor I also allow the ability to assign a unit to different formations and civilizations (to make them UUs for different civilizations).

Nope, I have a couple last hurdles to finish for v0.1 the biggest being the formation editor.

I agree, now that I finished the unit editor I am going to add the unit formation editor.

It is possible and I can already change unit artwork for units in the game. The first of the art defines editor will be for units. The art defines editor for buildings is planned for v0.2 of the Civilizeditor.

Well, I don't think I will be able to add a victory conditions editor since it would require the editor to make changes to the SDK and I am limiting the Civilizeditor to only changes in the XML files.
 
I'm extactic about the formations editor!! I'm glad that you're making so much progress on this. I'm simply amazed that you can manipulate the code so well. Keep up the great work!!

Thanks for that snafu, I wouldn't have thought to work on the formations editor if it wasn't for all of the great unit art you have made :D

One last thing, I figured out why the tech tree editor was so slow to load up and the issue will be fixed in the next release of the tech tree editor and Civilizeditor.

would a skin editor for the units be availible
