Is the Aging being done correctly when a Classic game is the most recent game?

From Global Ranking Page said:
Since we started to offer C3C games alternating with Classic games, the Classic and C3C games are grouped into pairs, and a player's better performance from each game pair is used to compute the Ranking. This means players who can submit only one game each month have opportunities equal to those of the two game per month players.

I thought the games are being paired and the highest score from the pair is used. When COTM1 scores were released it was paired with GOTM31.

This pairing of G31 & C1 should continue in future months as G32 & C2 etc... Which is how they are paired when you look at the results after COTM3 was released.

My real question comes into play when the GOTM (not COTM) is the most recently score game. Based on the Aging heading the pairing of games has shifted from 31/1, 32/2, 33/3 to 31 & none, 32/1 and 33/2.

So the games being comared to each other has changed. Shouldn't the pairing remain constant? If so when Classic is the current game the Aging "0" column should only be 1 game since the paired COTM game has not been finalized yet. It does not appear to be just a table heading issue since the bold score (higher of pair) have changed (see Kuningas Classic 32 score change in the last 2 pics).

I did it this way deliberately so that we always have two games at age 0, two at age 1 ... as we move forwards. This gives us progress information every two weeks, whereas the alternative of only ever paring games in the same month means we'd only publish new rankings every month.

If you only want to just focus on those results with constant pairings, just look at them once a month, after every other game :)

It does make some af us, like grahamiam and my self, bounce up and down a bit. :)

You presumably have somewhat inconsistent results from one game to the next. As I say, you haven't lost anything. I can either publish them once a month, in which case one group of players doesn't get to see an update for two weeks after they've played, or I can publish them twice a month and you can ignore the alternate ones that don't suit you. I choose to do the latter for maximum information and convenience for most players :D
