I have made a wonder, the Thingvellir, which is sort of an equivalent to Petra, just for Tundra. The idea is tha the Thingvellir will add +1
and +1
to Tundra tiles, and the wonder requires the city to be built on or next to a Tundra tile. All good.
My question is regarding the slight complication that comes with Forest tiles. Just like Petra doesn't work on Flood Plain tiles, I would prefer this wonder not to work on forested tiles, but only on bare Tundra tiles. Now with Petra this isue is easily solved by simply adding a -1
/ -1
/ -1
"bonus" on Flood Plains, effectively canceling out the bonus from Petra. That works well because Flood Plains only occur on Desert tiles.
However, as Forests also appear on grassland/plains tiles, adding a -1
/ -1
"bonus" on forest tiles will effectively make normal (i.e. none-tundra) tiles worked by this city less productive than normally, which I think is a bad solution. I want to ask whether I am right in assuming that if I want to solve this problem, I will need to go through LUA - there is no XML way to circumvent this that I have missed, right?
