listen all i have a question if someone could answer it that would be great.

when going from game to game, there are thing developers take out for no good reason. when playing civ 2, you could select any unit on the tile with the keyboard, pressing a for activate and scrolling with the arrows.

this was a really great feature, i can't believe that they would take it out. i would be surprised if no one has ever brought this up

my question is, has someone or can someone create some kind of program that can add this feature into the game? is that possible?

civ 3 is great, really, but that one feature is so super cool and that they didn't carry it over is something that sucks. i think a lot of people would have appreciated that feature

This main C&C forum is best since more people who might have the answer see it. You're fine, but just for future postings, a more descriptive title will help you get more attention. I looked, but a lot of people won't bother right away, only when they have time to look through a lot of threads.

I'm just a maps and graphics maker, but I do know that you're talking about something buried deep in the game code, which we don't have access to. Some people have done amazing things anyway by using hex-editors & such, so it may be possible. But don't hold your breathe.

As for your question, I don't know what you mean. You mean you wanted to go to the next active unit without doing anything with the currently selected unit??

Alright man, appreciate it though.

Well, in II, basically when you have a unit selected and there are other units on the tile, you can easily switch between them using the keyboard. With III you can't do it anymore, they removed it

There are some good features taken out of IV as well, for no good reason I'm afraid. You all might remember the 'Always Build Previously Built Unit' option. In IV you have to go and find the unit every time it's built. Why do they do this kind of thing? Baffles me
