I will prolly not have game till Xmas as my wife wants to get it for me. Alas all I can do is read about your tips and games. What I have noticed is that most of you all play on Noble or 'prince'? I have not played any civ games ever EXCEPT Call to Power 2 which I play alot. If possible could anyone explaing the different difficulty lvls/settings and what each does?

What is a good setting for someone new to game?

Thanks for your patience.

The difficulty level of noble is one where the AI doesnt get any advantages above the player (i believe). On easier levels you get advantages like very good goodie huts.
If you play on more difficult levels the AI starts for example with extra units.

i think if you start you should start playing like 2 games on noble or easier to see what the possibilities in the game are. and after that move up to prince or monarch so that you dont develop a strategy which wont work out on levels higher then noble. At least thats what im doing. And monarch is seriously much more difficult then noble :(.

Noble is the default difficulty. Neither you nor the AI gets any bonuses over the other.
