Questions & Answers

I'm not sure if new difficulties can be modded, all those new features can make it hard. But as I said, start with easier civilizations and soon you can master the harder ones.

Axe icon in the upper left.

next to the log, just click it, the mercenary menu will then speak for itself...
when hired they will appear randomly at the edge of your empire (smallest and newest cities)

Shouldn't holland be coverd with forest, (I would mention marshes too, but they can't be drained) At the time the dutch appear, holland consited of forests and marshes mainly. Open grasland was sparse in that time. Like in the rest of the netherlands.

its a matter of starting position, amsterdam has to be a strong productive city, so marshes definately disqualify for being in the netherlands...
woods would be possible, but i think its been a very long time since rhye last altered the map and i dont know if he's gonna make any changes anymore...

if this has already been answered, sorry...
Right after the mod starts, no matter what civilization I use, an icon says "you have been defeated" and it goes to the end screens (except it can't play the turns because there weren't any!) Any idea why this is?

In BTS RFC are you able to take over cities and not destroy them if so how because everytime I attack a city it automatically destroys it without giving the option to occupy it.

stupid question but where are the victory conditions stated I cant find them anywhere?

They're at the bottom of the Victory screen (F8).

That only happens to size 1 cities that have no buildings, never beem larger than 1 and have not reached the second culture level.

Victory conditions are listed be hitting F8 or within the discription of the civ in the 'pedia

I want to:
Play in Rhye's map
With Rhye's tech system

W/O Rhye's gamestyle.

Just as a simple premade earthstyle map with some changes.
+ all the civs

do I ask too much ?

Please help me how can I achieve this [ I m a n00b in modding]

Uh, he already released the earth map for BTS. Just use the WB to add in more civs and have fun. If you want to keep the historical start dates, then you're asking for too much.

You have any idea where I can get the plain map? and If there is an easy way to set the locations of the civs[ other than through WB]?

The plain ma is in your public maps folder, and how could there be an easier way to place civs than the WB?

I unzipped the Mod into my Mod's folder and now RFC1975 shows up in my Mods list under the "Advanced" selection. When I select it, it states that it must restart Civ IV, which it does. When it reloads, I can see it releading the Python etc. for "RFC1975". BUT...when I go to Single Player, Scenarios, there is no selection available for RFC. What can I do?:(
