Questions & Answers

new civs spawning may be slightly overpowered. playing as carthage (bad enough) and spain just spawned in the middle of my iberian territories. alright, they got a trunkload of swordsman and longbows. i can deal with this. but seems every turn my units in spain betray me and switches sides (even the mercs which i was so found of). in addition to my reduced borders and temporary civil unrest (cities reduced to one square) how exactly am i supposed to maintain a defense? probably should have just given them the cities and foregone this headache. its a fun idea, but slightly overpowered (as you really don't have a chance at all).

The Problem is, if you make the spawning civs too weak, they will never get off and free to form a spanish empire... So, they need to have that much units and flipping ones, BUT...

YOU know when they will be coming and you can be prepared for it. For example, keep your units out of the flipping area and then swiftly move in. Things you need to know.
- Units will flip in the first 10 turns.
- If you negate them your cities, they will receive more units.
- spawn areas can be seen in the wiki.

thanks for the info, mitsho. the units flipping really pissed me off considering i rush built them. next time i'll be prepared. however, a nice addition maybe to only allow unit flipping of units built in those cities(hearken back to the days of civ2) and mercs should never flip.

1) In RFC 600AD, is it possible to get a GA for researching Music or is this possibility closed by some Greece?
2) For America, do Standard Etanol sources of oil count for UHV?

I built the Great Wall with Babylon, but barbarians can still enter my territory. Is there some built-in exception to the powers of this wonder, or is this a bug?

I got a new computer and suddenly playing on large/huge maps is at least feasible... so I was wondering whether there was a way to incorporate the 2x movement on oceans feature of RFC. How did you do this?

How could you upload sceenshots???????????????????????

Select Print Screen when you want the screenie, then paste that into a picture editing program (I use Paint.) If you want to edit it, ok, and then save it. To save it, select "Save As" and change the file type from ".bmp" (which is the default Paint filetype,) to ".jpeg" Then, when you are in Civfanatics post editing part, select the red button with an arrow on it. This is the easy upload system. Once you have done this, browse for your .jpeg file, select it, and then select "upload file." Once you have done this, a box will pop-up. You must copy the link. Then go back to your post, and select square box with triangles in it. This is the "insert image" button. It will ask for a link to go to, and then you paste the text you copied. There, you have your screenie ;)

T Y. People here are ignorants. I had been asking for 2 days now and yet, nobody even answered except you.

well, where have you been asking? In my experiences, the best place to ask questions is in threads labeled "Questions/Answers" or something like that...
