Questions regarding # of players and adding techs in wb

Hello, I wonder if it is possible to someway add more than the maximum of 18 civilizations in a single game.

I also wonder if there is a smooth way to add technologies to a civilization in world-builder. This is possible in normal BTS by "add techs by era" but as I've seen it here you have to manually add all techs one by one.

Open the Worldbuilder tech screen, select the era you want with the drop down on the left, then click the 'All (+/-)' text on the right.
