Here's a question that may belong to the DUH category: how do you clean up the Hall of Fame in the game? I've got some entries there I'd rather not see. Obviously these are the first several games I played where I lost (at Warlord) level and are kinda embarassing even I'm the only one who sees them .

Look for the Replay folder in your My Documents/My Games/Civilization 4 folder. Just delete the ones you don't want to see there.

On Marathon speed, Golden Ages last around 15 turns. I think they are less on the faster speeds.

i should probably let this part of the thread die a dignified death! i've been reading over the usage of 'vanilla', and most seem to think it refers only to games. to be a complete pedant it refers to almost anything in its original form that may later have been improved. so until now this has been a vanilla post

As For the Vanilla explanation goes every thing is ok ... I see what it means.

My mother is a Professional English to French translator and she never heard or used Vanilla in her translations.

Can It be a Regionalism? Is it only used in certain parts of USA ? Well In the English community of Quebec it is not a expression that is used at all. We say Plain more that anything.
