Is there any way to save all my turns, not just the last 5? Thanks.

I run a script in the background (MacOS X) that copies anything new in the Autosave directory to another directory. It runs every 10 seconds as a system task and compares the autosave directory to the target one. I could probably get away with every sixty minutes or more at my current rate of play. I'm sure it should be possible to create an equivalent script on Windoze.Originally posted by tigerden27

I edit and restart the script when I start a new game. I actually only have time to play the GOTM each month, so I just create a new folder for each GOTM and then point the script at that folder and away it goes for the rest of the month. You can put the script into the strartup items so that it runs after each reboot if you wish, but I don't bother because [brag mode] my Mac doesn't need rebooting very often [/brag mode]Originally posted by zorven
@ AlanH, that is a good way to do it. You would just have to move them all to a new folder before you start / load a new game as the filenames are generic.
Have you built the Intelligence Agency? You need to learn Communism 1st, then build it in one of your cities. Take a look at Communism in the Civilopedia for details.Originally posted by KotatsuNeko
I'm using PTW 1.21, and I've got a couple of questions...
First, how does one actually use propaganda? I've only managed to infiltrate a spy once, when the Germans had the only two foreign cities on my continents and they were culturally advanced. I clicked on 'Germany', 'Spy', and the 'Propaganda' entry, but the list of cities didn't light up at all, and I couldn't continue. (Oddly, though I won that game diplomatically in the 1800s, the Germans didn't build a single harbor during the entire game. Weird...)
It sounds like you're getting mixed up with The Great Library. The Great Library gives you techs for free when 2 or more of the Civs you're in contact with have learned them. Being Scientific doesn't do that, it gives you cheap science buildings (Library/University/Research Lab) and faster research.Originally posted by KotatsuNeko
Secondly, whenever I play a Scientific culture, I never get notice of the free advance. I thought it wasn't working at all, but in a recent game it must have given me Engineering, though I only realized it when my workers had no problem crossing rivers. Is this a known bug?
I'm not sure I was wrong exactly, but I sure didn't understand what he was asking! I'm not too definite about the increased research rate, but I was certainly right about what the Great Library does and the Scientific trait giving reduced Library/University/Reserach lab cost (though I ought to clarify I meant build cost in shields)Originally posted by Speaker
EDIT- Dianthus is wrong. Scientific does give you a free tech at the start of each age, as well as half-price scientific buildings. It does not give you any discounts on research, however.
