If the only route goes through the territory of a Civ that is at war with one of the two trading parts, there's no connection.
Well, I know that culturally linked starts are bugged, in that having it checked always draws the American culture group. (I think that's the right name, anyway.) AFAIK, unchecking it should have solved that for you. I don't recall hearing about any other workaround, but maybe there is one that I just haven't heard about.I've played Japan on several games with culturally linked starts unckecked. all AIs random, but I keep drawing the same neighbours in my continents games (Mayas, Aztecs and Incas)
I remember reading somewhere that this was a bug and there was a workaround. I just can't remember what. Or maybe my memory is playing tricks.![]()
You're safe as long as you're within your own territory, but as soon as you're in the territory of an AI, you're at risk. Just BEING in someone else's territory during the interturn can trigger an MPP, without you doing anything. My question is, what exactly triggers a DOW when the AI's have a MPP? Can I attack a unit, defend, shoot down a plane or is it only attacking on the AI's home terrtory/atacking a city?
