He's playing Vanilla CIv - he only has Military Great Leaders, and they can rush Great Wonders.TruePurple said:Well..
A. You can't use a military leader to build great wonders, only small ones. The forbidden palace is a small one of course.

I did it twice on Warlord when I was just learning the game and had NO idea how to fight, winning by a UN vote.scloopy said:Is it possible to have a game without fighting?
Of course I'd abandoned many games when I'd been attacked to finally finish a peaceful game and I spent 6 months playing Warlord.

questioner said:Hi,
What is the Draft Rate listed under governments? I can't find any explanation for it. The Draft Rate is 2 for Despotism, Monarchy, and Communism. It's 1 for Democracy and Republic. 0 for Anarchy.
Thanks!

I think the civilopedia has information on how much unit support each government has. In Republic I believe each town (1-6 pop) supports 1 unit, city (7-12) 3 units, and metros (13+ pop) 4 units, so you want to have several of your towns at over 7 or to reach that pop soon. Very likely you will often be over the support limit, but the commerce bonus in republic should give you enough gold to pay the 2g per unit extra. Be sure you have a good road system before you revolt and some markets help.Kool Keith said:When I make the move from Despotism to Monarchy, I now can only support about 32 units for free. How am I able to know how big my army can be with each government system?
There are dozens of threads about governments here. I don't know if "forum search" is working now, but if it is, that might be a good way to locate them. If not, just page through this forum and you're likely to spot a few by topic name. It's a subject that seems to come up at least once a month. Also, is there a good discussion somewhere on these boards about the ins and outs of governments?
