I think the saves go to Program Files>Firaxis/Atari/2kgames>Civ 3 Complete/Civ 3>Conquests>Saves/Saved games.

Being the only one logged on does not make you an admin. You userid has to have admin authority. It is a good idea to have at least two users with admin, in case one gets hosed.
It is not clear to me, did you in fact use the cntl-s and make a save? You should be able to use the searc function to locate any .sav file types in the system.
Maybe it has something to do with having Civ Complete installed on Vista.
Read through that thread and try to fnd how he fixed it.

You won't beleive how many times i've said that.
You will have 5 movement points left. Because it moves like all terrain is roads doesn't mean that pillaging takes three movement points.![]()
