'Cuz I've never scored anything higher than around 8,000!![]()
You might want to look at the tabs there. You can submit for lots of different victory conditions on different sized maps. Scores of 8000+ are hardly ever required.
'Cuz I've never scored anything higher than around 8,000!![]()
For most HOF entries (except the Histographic Victories), it's the game-year the victory occurs that's the primary factor, not the game score.'Cuz I've never scored anything higher than around 8,000!![]()
Try the preferences panel (Ctrl + P). I have it enabled for PBEM.
What type of multiplayer are you doing?
Is there a way to get popups when a city produces something to trigger you to change what it will make next when in multi-player?
I've searched settings, and tried to disable everything in the city governor, but every time as city produces something, it just moves on to produce something else without asking me.
Any ideas?
I've only played single-player, but I would suggest trying altering the three circled settings. There is one "Show Fewer Multiplayer Popups" which might be the first I make sure is unchecked.
"Ask for Build Orders after Unit Construction" in single player pops up a prompt after each unit is built; I usually have this unchecked, but in a recent game I was MM'ing and changing builds based on current spt, so I had it turned on so I could check the city after each unit.
"Always Build Previously Built Unit" in single player makes it just build the same unit repeatedly wihtout asking me, or if "ask for orders" is also checked it will ask but default to the same unit instead of suggest something it wants.
Also be aware that a lot of the preferences are saved in the game file, and if you for example download a save from someone else you may inherit their settings for that game. I don't know how this would be affected by LAN games.
There was a trick I read recently about barb settings not being honored for mods/scenarios I think, and the fix was to start and epic game with the settings wanted, then quit and start the mod/scenario. It might be worth trying that in your case; start a single-player epic, set preferences, play a turn or two or save, then quit and start the multiplayer. I have no idea if that will help, but it's something to try.
I'll give these a try and let you know if anything works. Thanks for the attempted help.
