To unmobilize you must make peace with a nation. Even if you were not at war you must declare war on someone and then make peace.

I'm confused by this concept of "make peace". Was that added in a patch I missed?

Just realized that was sarcasm. Replace helpful post with:

Hi guys!
I've got a question.
I use a Civ3 Conquest 1.22
There are some "tundra irrigation.pcx" in gamefiles.
And I remember that in Civ3 previous (maybe Vanilla) I can irrigate tundra tiles.
But what happened to conquest? Why cannot I irrigate tundra? Or is there any solution in CivilizationEdit?
What should I do to re-enable function of irrigating tundras? Because I'm from northern lands where are too cold and tundra or mixed forest-tundra lands. And there was a real farming (but not so rich and succesful)

Try looking in the Tile Improvements or Terrain sections of the editor. If it's not there, I don't know where you'd find what you're looking for.

I don't recall ever being able to irrigate tundra........And I've played Civ 3 since 2001 :)

I believe it is for the "winter terrain" from the scenarios files.

Ruler: "What are we doing?"

Domestic Advisor: "We are irrigating the ice fields."

Ruler: "Um . . . Why?"

Domestic Advisor: "So we can grow more ice."

Ruler: "Why would we do THAT!?!"

Science Advisor: "We have recently discovered how to build bars after researching the bartending tech."

Ruler: "Why did we research that instead of replaceable parts?"

Science Advisor: "Because it revealed a new luxury to our civiliation: margeretas. How can replaceable parts compare to that?"

Domestic Advisor: "Unfortunately, we are unable to gain the full benefit of this luxury without a renewable source of ice."

Science Advisor: "Luckily we only needed to research two other optional techs to enable ice farming. But after that it really made sense to research the slushy tech as well."

Ruler: "WHAT!?!"

Domestic Advisor: "Hey, the kids love 'em. We also forgot to mention that the name of the capital has been changed by popular vote. It is now Margeretaville."

Ruler: :wallbash:

Hmmm... Thank you all.
Editor -> Edit Rules -> Terrain -> choose "Tundra" -> Set "Terraform Bonuses" at option "Irrigation (food)" to something higher than 0.
Now We can place irrigations on snow tiles in editor. What about game - I didn't know, will test soon...

I lived 17 years north of the Arctic Circle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murmansk in this District - there was some kind of agriculture.
Potatoes, berries, carrots and so on - at small private farms. Animal\bird breeding and tomato\cucumber\potato\another cultures farming in specialized plants, not only cold stinky fish :rudolf:

EDIT: Tested. It works fine :):)

Try looking among the scenarios folder, with the PTW files came a winter mod IIRC.

Nah, it's a hack version invented by some people. True civ-warriors behave like Daleks.

Here I was a Dalek this whole time and didn't know it! ;)

Thats pretty funny. CFC Civ3 people could make a movie out of it, lol. Not just about this but a civilization growing through time, Civ3 style, under the rule of one god ruler, such as Abraham Lincoln.

According to the Civilopedia, Global Warming is caused by "pollution".

Does the orange pollution on ground (on the territory squares) increase Global Warming? (so if you clean it up, it will reduce Global Warming?)

Or is Global Warming ONLY caused by the pollution generated by cities (as seen inside the city view depicted as yellow triangle with skull icons)?

Or is Global Warming caused by both? Anyone know for sure?

If the orange pollution spills don't cause global warming, im not going to prioritize cleaning them.

The pollution "spills" do cause pollution. I'm also almost positive that the list in cities doesn't. You should want to clean them up anyways because your people can't work the polluted tiles.

Cleaning the pollution from tiles does not impact warming. It only allows you to work the tile. Warming is caused by pop and structures.

...I'm also almost positive that the list in cities doesn't (cause pollution)...
I'm almost certain that the list in cities DOES cause [indirect] Global Warming (I assume you mean the yellow triangles) because it increases the chances of you getting a polluted tile each turn.....That's why you need Mass Transit Centers to clear all-but-one pollution triangles caused by population in a city.......However, maybe Gamemaster77 and I are saying the same thing!?

I may be wrong, but I don't believe you can reduce global warming by cleaning polluted tiles (or doing anything for that matter).......only prevent it from increasing. :)
