Open up the editor (named Civ3ConquestEdit in your .../Conquests/ folder). Then, Scenarios -> Edit Rules, yes to the warning, then go to the civilizations tab. You'll see all the civilizations, and their city list, MGL and SGL list, and all their other information.

I'm not sure of a way to extract them, either.

However, you might want to browse the Creation and Customization section and see if there's anything there about city names.

It should be noted that you'll have to browse each civ individually, there's no way to see more than one civ at a time.

Unless you can talk ainwood or Dianthus to write a program to extract them from the .bi*....

I am in this deity game as the Koreans, lagging in tech naturally.
About to get into the Industrial age, or so I thought after buying Theory of Gravity.
I have got magnetism, but what else do I require??
Surely not Demo, or Navigation? I havent got Metallrugy or MT either...

As I dont want to waste any cash on useless techs.
Anyone care to help?

Thanks

All my city displays show 100% science and 0% for the other two. The manual says adjust with the sliders but there are no sliders!

As a result of the above (I think) I end up with minus 200 income and 0 gold. The more workers making mines, the worst the income gets. What to do?

I can't get the 'colony' function to work. I use shift or ctl b and the little house appears, but doesn't 'stick' to the resources I place it on. Can someone please explain the procedure fully? Thanks.

Tico: Press the "F1" key (or select your Domestic Advisor). At the top of that screen, center-right, are the sliders you are referring to. ;)

Bowrider: Move a worker to the resource you want to colonize, and while it is still active, press the key. Note, you cannot colonize a resource that is *within* your borders. Just build a road to that.

Thanks Padma,

It certainly is there. Just out of curiousity, what do the pink flashes signify? They seem to start showing up as one gets into the game. Just decoration?

If you're referring to the 'fireworks' over the city, that means that your city is in We Love The King Day. Less waste, more production.

Other than that, I can't think of any pink flashes. Where exactly did you see it? Can you make a screenshot of it?

Well, they come & go fast but maybe I can catch one in a screen shot. I'll try. They are always over land but not just over cities, can be most anywhere.

Hope this shows. The flashes DO seem to come over the cities. Why did I think differently? Anyhow, you have explained it completely!

Yes Tico, those are "We love the King day" in those cities. You get this bonus when happy citizens is equal or more than content citizens and you have no unhapy ones in the city. :)

Also whatever Civ and whatever government your under, "We love the King day" could be called "We love the President day" under Democracy or "We love the Chairman day" under Communism, etc...

I noticed zulu's huge units.32 sheet and was wondering how to expand my own sheet to include more room for icons?

Ask that question in the main Creation & Customization forum. They'd be able to tell you quicker and better there than here.
