@Padma/Moderators/Knowledgeables: When you say "Thanks" in a post at this Forum, because your question was answered, BUT say nothing else, is that post considered Spam, Good Etiquette or What? :)

The operational range of a fighter-jet fighter when it is ordered for a ''control the sky'' mision is the same as their bombard operational range or what?Never figured this up.

I believe that's right. I had a AI jet shoot down my bomber in my territory bombing one of the AI's units. Needless to say, I was surprised.

So we can't be 100% sure.Well i 'll keep on producing jet fighters in order to have them in all of my cities! :crazyeye:

Thanks anyway.

1. I "fixed" the upgrade line so that infantry upgrade to TOW infantry which upgrade to mech infantry. The civelopedia confirms that TOW now upgrade to mech. I am building mech infantry, all of my cities have barrackses (Sun Tzu), I have all strategic resources, and tons of cash . . . but it won't let me upgrade TOWs to mechs. I know a lot of people will think this is a stupid idea, and maybe it is, but I want to try it out. Anyone got a diagnosis?

2. Is there an easy way to import images such as the stone resource from Conquests to a slightly modded Epic?

3. If I am fresh installing Civ3 and Conq, does it matter whether I install Civ3 at the minimum (500mb) or best performance (700mb) level? Obviously I will never use Civ3 in vanilla form, but does the difference affect the performance of Conq?

4. Is there any way to make the American version use Spanish? You know, so that playing Civ becomes homework even when I'm not taking History classes?

Stupid idea? I may not agree with the idea (I rather like having the two seperate upgrade paths myself) but it's your game, mod it to how you think it needs to be. That's o ne of the things I like best about this game.

Back to the QAH, I don't know why it would do this. It might be a good idea to post that question in C&C.

Not sure, so again my favorate stand by answer: Ask in C&C...;)

I would go with the full install myself, if you can afford the disc space. I don't remember what the minimum installs, but typically it leaves the music files on the disc. Since PTW & C3C install on top of Civ3 (instead of replacing it) they reference a lot of files that VC3 already put there. Not sure what files aren't installed, but it could affect (in a minor way) gameplay.

You know that might just be nutty enough to work . . . not Spain, but I'll be in South America this fall. But would it work on my computer installed over American VC3? So there's no way to adjust the language :(

Would you expound your answer? :)
E.g.s "Yes, it is spam", "Yes, it is good etiquette"

I'm assuming spam and "good etiquette" are mutually exclusive! :)

Why not install the spanish version in a different directory? ;)

I can't comment specifically on installing the Spanish language from the C3C ROW version over US VC3, but I know that picking German language does not work.:(
There seem to be problems with different file names.
I don't know if it's possible to rename them manually after installation, though.

I'm sure there is, but that would be illegal, and is frowned upon at Civfanatics ;)

That was why I added the ';)'

Sometimes it is good etiquette, sometimes it is spam. And when it is which depends at least partly on the mod reading it, and his/her mood at the time! ;)

More correctly it is *always* good etiquette, but it *can be* spam. :)

Avoid the problem: When you have a cheesy comment to make or a :thanx: to hand out, try to tack on a serious question! For instance . . .

On the Pacific War scenario, how do the pros attack Pearl? My planes won't bomb the damn ships, they just smash Honolulu, so I send my ships up close to bombard. However, they don't do lethal bombard, so after a turn those ships will heal up to full strength, right? Some undamaged ships came out to fight and others make for open water to the south and the other Hawaiian port to the east, and my planes slaughter them, but I can't seem to finish the ships in port.

Thank you Padma...........I always wondered if one should thank people "publicly" when they were helpful...........so I shall assume YES, unless I see/receive a notification to the contrary from a moderator.....etc! :)

@a4phantom: Your suggestion is EXACTLY what I have done in the past........"Tack On" a question to the "Thank You".......BUT I was starting to feel it was "Spam" because I didn't really need to ask the question!.....I just wanted to say :thanx:

If I have an MPP with France and with Germany, and Germany Attacks France (surly not ;) ) triggering my MPP with France (making war with Germany) do I get a rep hit?

I believe so. MPP's are usually hazardous. I usually make one only when necessary to avoid the dogpile, or to make everyone friendly before UN vote.
