If I have an MPP with France and with Germany, and Germany Attacks France (surly not ;) ) triggering my MPP with France (making war with Germany) do I get a rep hit?
You *would* get a rep hit, IIRC, because you "treacherously" attacked Germany, with whom you had a MPP. Not that it's your fault....

Alamo's right, steer clear of MPP's if you can avoid them.

i've found MAs to be better than MPPs, because you decide when to go to war. Too many times I've been pulled into a war I didn't want because of an MPP.

Am I right that you get a rep hit if you quit your wars before the 20 turns of MA expires? When you make peace the MA is dissolved...

That's right. It's also true of the AI when they (frequently) break the 20 turn deal, they get the rep hit.

Any idea how to use the AI getting a rep hit to our advantage? Maybe you can isolate them? Easier to get an embargo or other hostile things to get against them?

With MPPs, are you bound to fight 20 turns, or just until the MPP expires and you can cancel it? I only use them when I happen to be building the UN.

The main advantage I see about the AI losing its rep is that it gives you a better chance to get gpt off them, as other AIs will not accept gpt for techs. Not sure about embargos or isolating them.

BTW, Thanks for the advice. It seems MPPs need to be used carfully.

You don't have to fight at all, al you have to do is declare war (automatically), and don't make peace as long as you have the MPP.

I THINK that you can make peace whenever you like, but you have to go to war again if they attack in the terretory of your friend. It is with MAs that you have to stay at war for 20 turns.

[EDIT] I expect Shabbaman is right, I know nothing, I am from Barcalona.

so you will get a rep hit if you declare war due to a mpp and then make peace before you cancel the mpp? thatd explain a lot of things. i often have civs dislike me after making peace in a mpp war

Just to point out, this article is about attitude (Gracious to Furious scale) rather than rep (whether the AI will make gpt deals with you etc.)

I just thought, does this apply to both parties in the MPP? So in my example, niether me (england) or france (attacked nation) can make peace with germany for 20 turns?

Correct. Of course, you can make peace, but you can't make peace without consequenses. The AI breaks treaties rücksichtloss.

Is the Manhattan Project required to build Nuke Plants? I have uranium and Nuclear Power, but I can't build Nuke Plants, and Manhattan Project has not been built yet.

Do you have a Factory in the city? Nuke plants require factories, same as all power plants. :)

Yes. I have factories in all my cities.

edit: I think I figured it out. I think I need fresh water in the city radius to build a Nuke Plant.
