You are undeniably right. It just looked like the set-up to the old joke, and I couldn't resist butting in.

My mom tried to raise me Christian. My dad is apathetic to religion. I think the last time he was in a church was when he got married...and that was 26 years ago. My paternal grandparents also seem to be apathetic when it comes to religion. My mom's family, however, is really religious. There are some pretty funny stories of when both sides got together during my parents wedding. (One side is fond of alcoholic beverages, while the others are strict teetotalers )
