Quick Questions and Answers

Vanilla - if your units has double healing from Fountain of Youth, what happens if your unit is next to a unit that has +1 Healing promotion? Does it stack (double) or just add +1 health after the FOY doubling?
(EDIT) - Confirmed adjacent Medic +1 health does not double with Fountain of Youth.

If I have founded a religion. And I capture the Holy City of another Civ. If I purchase a Great Prophet in the captured Holy City, what religion will that GPr be? Because I would like to buy a GPr in the captured Holy City to spread their religion to my cities but not sure if it works that way.
It would be the current majority religion of that city, which may not necesseraliy be the religion it's the Holy City for
 
Vanilla Deity - Per a civ's (Germany) request, I declared war against another civ (Persia)... If on top of that I sign a Defensive Pact with Germany much later, would that make Persia any more or less likely to attack me? I ask cause I got attacked very soon after, but may be coincidence.
In isolation, Defensive Pacts should make you less vulnerable to war declarations. This is purely anecdotal, but once I forgot to renew my DPs with a bunch of other civs my much larger neighbour immediately declared war on me
 
Vanilla Steam Deity - Some BUG happened where my 2 available Incense are not appearing in the Trade screens with Civs. I tried destroying them (1 turn Fortress worked), and then completing the Plantation again... but that didn't work. Any suggestions?
 
Vanilla Steam Deity - Is this a bug?... A Knight moved into a tile with my lone Worker, and game message reads "Worker Captured", but the Worker disappeared. The AI doesn't have the option to destroy it, right? It was my Worker and it wasn't returned to me (I might have captured it previously). Please advise.

Vanilla Steam Deity - Does pillaging gain your unit health? The game says it gives heal 25pts, but I've never seen a unit gain even 1 health bar of the full 10.
 
Vanilla Steam Deity - When 2 civs both finish a Wonder on the same turn, how does Game decide who gets it? It doesn't go to human player, I can confirm that :undecide:

In vanilla, it is not possible to regain 25 points of health since your units only have 10. Probably a "retro-active" misleading tool tip. In any case, I definitely stopped trying to do it.

I know helicopters can't capture workers, only kill them. But in that case, maybe the AI didn't want it. I noticed this too. But I think I noticed them keeping them too, so...

I pillage for the gold, but I agree with you, I've never seen health gained by it. Game reads you heal 25pts, but I just assume it doesn't mean 25 health bars. I mean, 25pts could mean half of one bar... I don't know. Like you said, I'm guessing the developer forgot to edit it out for the steam/version.

Knowing developers never corrected what I see as a major bug (the workers being asked every_turn for what to do in previously endangered zones but not anymore), I see it as they considered everyone switched to expansions. (the bug is not over there anymore) And they are nearly true, actually I'm quite happy to see you talking about vanilla, because that's the version I currently play too. So we are 2 now. :lol:

If I don't buy the expansions, that's because
1) I never quite catch a sale on them (and without it they are quite expensive still)
2) I like more wonders (Petra, dear Petra), but I like also less currencies (religion, bah 🥲, tourism, meh) and the ability to push culture further than just +1 per costly building. (not to mention happiness buildings that are more rewarding) The downside being that maybe cultural, space, diplomatic victory are all obtainable quite rapidly all three only at the end of the tech tree.

Yeah, the expansions seemed to have some fantasy elements I wouldn't be into, but I generally hear peeps like it better. I might try it at some point, but I want to beat the vanilla I'm familiar with at deity first.
 
Vanilla Steam Deity - What would cause enemy German Calvary units to have a "-50% Bonus Vs Mounted Units" against my Knights?

I googled it, but didn't find anything. Maybe they have more mounted units than horses?

Lately I was surprised to see my cav nearly rekt by an enemy knight. Didn't look at the preview though. I think that's a specific design for vanilla at least, or yet another error not corrected.

Now I see it for Cavalry. The game does read, "penalty against other mounted units". I totally missed that before. :crazyeye:
 
Vanilla Steam Deity - What usually the best thing to do with Great Scientists when you're about 2/3 done with Renaissance Era?

I know it depends on some game specifics, but have rule of thumb? At what point in researching tech is making Academies not really worth it?
 
Vanilla Steam Deity - Does bombarding a city to a certain amount, or over so many turns, cause more buildings to be lost when the city is captured?
