<!-- NOTE TO MODDERS: Each Civ can belong to only one of the four Start Bias categories, listed below. -->
<!-- If a Civ has entries in any of the four following tables, any entries in later tables will end up being ignored. -->
<!-- So... Coastal bias trumps River bias trumps Region Priority trumps Region Avoid. -->
Is this still the case? At the very least, Egypt is currently given River Bias + Region Priority Desert, but this comment suggests that Region Priority Desert is never included.
It is still the case.

When you build road to city state in order to complete CS quest, should you immediately demolish said road to save GPT, or is there some hidden benefit in keeping said road ?

Some benefits you may care about:
  • Roads increase the pressure that your religion will spread to and from the city state.
  • If you plan on fighting on fighting in the city state's territory, roads will improve the speed at which your units will get to the city state.
  • Trade routes will use the road to get to/past the city state.
  • Roads inside the city state's territory are paid for by the city state.

Does Machu Picchu provide bonuses to mountain tiles that aren't owned by the city yet?
I think so. But they are not easy to find. Seems the MP yields on mountains do not count as "from terrain" but "from buildings".
I just counted faith "from buildings" in my city, the result was 4:c5faith: short. And there are 4 mountains nearby, not yet owned by the city.
Edit: Tooltip says "19 :c5faith: from buildings", but the list only adds up to 15:c5faith:, including 2:c5faith: from MP.

Hello, I mostly get the wonder I want but in my current game I missed a lot with just 1-2 turns. It is part of the game however, I was surprised how little I get in return. So I wonder whether there was some discussion to find diffent "solution" for this?
I dont have a fully develeoped idea for it but I beilive it would't a bad solution if the player who lost a wonder receive the related "free building". There are many wonder which also gives free building...

Is there a topic for such discussion? Thanks.

But you and AI's would have different number of production invested. Let's say that wonder cost was 2000 and you could have 10 or 1999 production invested and all get same reward? What about many wonders that don't have a free building? I think "free building" not a good idea.
We can get better rate of production to culture.

Or we could refund the production invested. Like we do now, when we get a free building from wonders, that is already built. But otoh, what about "no risk, no fun"?

Yield icons disapearing: Need to turn off and on "Yield icons" in the "toggle map options menu" from time to time, sometimes every round to get yield icons visible.
No matter which version. Any ideas how to fix this permanently ?

This is cause by Civ's 5's 32bit limitation. If you can't use less memory by reducing mods/map siz/number of civs/etc, then you're stuck with graphical bugs like this.

Is there a way to get a civ to vote for someone other than themselves for global hegemony? Does liberation work? Vassals don't vote for you in global hegemony, right?

You can pay friendly players a ton of money for votes.

A couple of questions.

Firstly regarding religion & puppeted cities. As you know you are unable to give instructions of what to build in a puppet, but most are built eventually. One area that does annoy me though is regarding special religious buildings you might have for your religion or another you have adopted (same applies to AI) is you cannot build them, & puppet can't, so never get built. If you have a religious policy that doesn't contain direct buildings like say Orders & Churches, you seem to gain those advantages but lose out if have to build them, which seems unfair. Is this correct, or am I missing something.

Secondly, sometimes I would like to play a different civ from a playthrough I have had, but cannot as you cannot change sides or even start with another civ. in the game. Is there anyway to use the same seed for a map like in games like Banished or is this impossible for this game.

This may help with puppets https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/global-faith-purchases-in-puppets.655327/

Define production trick, there are a few things that it could be.

They're likely referring to the bug where you'd get extra production if the city grows while locked on Production focus. VP fixed that.
