Quick Questions / Quick Answers

For a domination victory, does having a civ as your vassal count, or do you need to capture its capitol?

Domination victory requires that all capitals in the world other than yours not be controlled by their original owners. Vassalization doesn’t count if the vassal still controls their capital.

Thanks. Just checking because if I remember correctly in Civ 4 vassals counted in military victory condition.

IMHO it would make more sense if vassaliation was enough. Otherwise, I have to declare a war on my vassal in order to capture his capital, which is a formality anyway.

Actually, it was supposed to be changed recently so that vassalization OR capturing the capital was sufficient, but I think that change was bugged.

I don't know if this is the correct thread to ask this, but here goes: I've been able to install VP and play it with both v22 and v25 with no real issues, but I'm a little puzzled with the resource spawns. Are resources supposed to always spawn in the same tiles or close proximity? Like Russia with truffles around, furs to north east, tea to south etc? Am I missing some option I need to check/apply to add some randomness to the spawns, or is this some map script thing, that resources have been preassigned to certain tiles/areas and it can't really be changed without a lot of work?

What I'd to experience is a true start game, preferrably on a huge earth map, but with mostly or totally random lux resource spawns so that choosing a civ wouldn't be tied to certain luxes every time.

Each civ will have a various resource in close proximity to it, so will be able to try and get a monopoly on that resource. So it is planned. There are other luxury resources scattered around. I must admit, as does AI, getting a bit upset if someone starts settling on their resource.

But my problem is that every time I play on either ynamp map (v22 or v25), it's ALWAYS the same luxes next to civs. Like Russia ALWAYS has truffles next to it, there's ALWAYS coco, lots and lots of coco, in South American jungle, ALWAYS a single sugar in Cuba (huge map). I mean I guess they are geographically correctly placed on the map to correspond with real life lux/raw material locations, but I'd like a game with a real world map, real starting locations BUT more random lux spawns, so that playing Maya, for example, doesn't always mean I'm fighting Brazil for coco luxes. But I don't know if this is possible.

I use Quick Turns and Quick Movement options and it works for everything, except for parachutes. Is it a bug that I should raise in Github? It's pretty annoying

Hello

Sorry if I'm not asking the question in the right place, but I recently put some friends in Civ and we start a multiplayergame that is lagging a lot after several round.
Can you tell me what would be the best mod / patch that would simply permit to end the game by reducing the lag without adding anything new in the game?

Thank you

I thought that airports provide city connections, but seems not, so is it impossible to connect this city? I built it to grab 3 oil resources.
