Any idea? :)

GA length: base 5 turns, +25% from Tradition, +25% from Spice monopoly, +50% from the Chicken Pizza. At least I think, but then the tooltip is misguiding.

Have just done a clean install of windows, up dated drivers etc. Download full version of VP and mods, exactly same as before but now game CTD after first move
LUA has nothing in it XML attached
Any help very welcomed

This doesn't sound like a quick question with a quick answer...:eek2:

Does the religious belief that causes foreign great prophets to not eliminate your religion, only reduce it 75% actually work? I had a city with 17 followers get repeatedly knocked down to one remaining follower of my religion with this belief. I wasted my own great prophet pushing it back repeatedly. Strangely I could only get conversions of about 8-10 followers in other cities, even isolated CS following no religions. Seems broken to me......

How can I deal with Dido's navy when the Quinqueremes are quite a bit stronger than Triremes? They easily 1 or 2 shot Dromon

Has anyone seen resilience work as a belief (great prophets reduce your religion by 75% instead of eliminating it). It didnt seem to work at all for me in a recent game where I lost 16 of 17 followers in a large city per enemy GP pop several times in a row. It seems like a weak belief so I have never taken it before.

When is it a good time to denounce someone? I find that denouncing someone like Elizabeth for constant spying just makes the situation worse. Makes her become hostile and much more of a pest.

Once I denounced Ethiopia for spying on me, which led to all his friends denouncing me and all my friends denouncing him and his friends. It was a mess!

Yup, whenever the time frame reaches everyone having gunpowder, that's when I notice the big world wars kicking off... fun times.

I rarely denounce anyone now. Making definite enemies and allies is more troublesome than it is worth it. I only do it when it is some warmonger that takes a capital. That usually makes everyone hate them all game.

Being friends with as many people as possible without committing something like denouncement is usually the goal I have. Situations change and so too does priorities.

1) When a civ has become a leper that everyone else is denouncing and hates. At that point you usually benefit from jumping on the denounce bandwagon as it would help your standing with everyone else.

2) When you want a civ to become a leper that everyone else hates and you think your diplomatic relationship with others is better than theirs. For example- you see Songhai as a threat and you have lots of positive diplomatic relations with other civs. Denounce Songhai and hopefully your friends follow suit, thus isolating Songhai and hopefully making him easier to handle in the future.

Are you an AI? :)
Hey! The AI isn't a bad goal to have. They do most things right. But taking a capital in particular is a death sentence diplomatically. There is little leeway in that bandwagon.

Denouncing for the sake of isolating a civ because I happen to have more friendly relations is difficult to recognize. I haven't met too many scenarios where that would net me something more than the luxury trade deals I would probably want from them. To be proactive in the diplomacy game requires a bit too many variables I need to consider first. I usually don't have the control or lead in the game to be prepared for the possible consequences of denouncing. Maybe, I'm not doing something right to create that situation.

Look two tiles north of Aarhus. Why doesn't my Town get the +:c5gold: and +:c5production: bonus? (Ribe and Roskilde are both connected to my capital via lighthouse.)

You need a trade land route to pass by your town.
Aren't there separate bonuses for having a trade route and for having a road connection?

Ribe and Roskilde are both 6 tiles away from Aarhus, so maybe it's using the road to Ribe instead.
