Could also be the nomadic tribe event. Or the Shoshone.
It happens consistently with any civ. It grabs few most valuable tiles. It can even grab a 3rd ring tile. I was thinking it's tile buying but then it happens 1 tile/turn. If they wanted to buy tiles they could buy it instantly, they usually have enough money.

Do you know if it's save-compatible with the package he made 2 days before? Links are removed :(

Highly likely to be purchased, then. They do get a lot of Gold through A/B/C.

I don't know if ilteroi's patch is savegame compatible - you'd have to ask him.

How does the AI just steal world congress projects when it should be impossible for them to win? I just lost first place my a few thousand hammers on the UN to my vassal of all things. (Every other Civ didn’t even try by the looks of things).

I’m looking at the stats and I control more cities, i control over 3x the amount of land, I have almost twice his population, and I’m ahead by over a dozen techs. Of his dozen or so cities only 3 are on land that isn’t a 1 or 2 tile island.

I’m destroying him in every conceivable metric and I still got smacked? I feel like this happens every time a WC project is up. Whenever the AI actually tries to win it feels like an uphill battle to even compete, let alone win.

Sometimes the AI gets "lucky" and receives A/B/C instant bonuses (production in this case) that coincide with projects, world wonders, etc.

He's your vassal so it's ok. He'll vote for you.

The fact that he is my vassal is the only reason I didn’t close my laptop on the spot. But that’s not even the point.

How is a Civ that has half my population, less than half my land, and a double digit tech disadvantage even able to compete with me in hammers, let alone beat me?

I had every city in my empire contributing to the project with a focus on hammers, not to mention half the specialist I was working at this point were great engineers.

Hello,

Can someone explain how the "flank" damage works exactly ? I don't really understand it

Your units get % boost to combat strength if you have more than one adjacent to an enemy unit. Example:

X Y
A—-B

Units X and Y will get a flank bonus against unit A because because they are both adjacent to that unit, but there won’t be a flank bonus against against unit B since it is only adjacent to one enemy unit.

Flank bonus represents the real life force multipliers of attacking from multiple locations/angles, cutting off escape routes, etc.

Ok thank you :)

When does World Congress change into United Nations? I passed World Ideology and built United Nations and yet the change never went through.

Ok thank you :)
I cannot remember how exactly it works, but an important thing to note is that if there is another enemy unit next to unit A (I think it also has to be neighboring your unit X?), they decrease your flanking bonus (based on the ratio of friendly/enemy flanking units).

Seems like they get TOO much gold. They always seem to be overflowing with it now. It's great when I want to sell them something..

Just finished my first game this patch (standard king), and half the AI were negative gpt throughout the second half of the game; I (Egypt) was the one with all the gold - mwuah hah hah hah!

Do Immortals double the healing bonus of Goddess of Protection as well? That's a synergy I've never tried.

Someone entered the renaissance, why did I get 2 spies instead of 1? I am in classical btw.

Not sure I understand? The number of spies gained is based of the number of city states in play during setup. 20 city states creates 2 spies. Not sure the amount needed to get 3.

Iirc, you have to consider the location of the unit you are attacking. Count every friendly unit you have adjacent to the target and discount every enemy unit adjacent to the target. That's the net number of flanking units. The flanking bonus scales with the number of the net flanking units.

Or maybe this is the old method, cause I remind that enemy units not near to your attacking unit are no longer providing anti flanking. So maybe it is your friendly units adjacent to the target minus the enemy units adjacent to the attacker.

The following effect : "When any Trade Route originating here and targeting another Civ is completed, receive a Tourism boost with the Civ based on your recent output" is provided by Caravansary and Customs House. Does it stack if you have both buildings in a city ?
