I must be installing it wrong, but I don't understand how, the auto-installer is in charge of the whole process. There must be something simple that I am missing.

Regardless what I get is this interface issue:

Maybe the installation paths weren't correct? Did you install CBP with EUI (Enhanced user interface)?
usually CBP needs to be installed in:
"C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS"

while EUI in the main game directory. Usually with steam it's:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V"
but make sure what your path to these Civilization folders are, cause they might differ

About EUI - I meant in automatic installer you should select "....\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V" directory for EUI. As a result EUI in form of of 'UI_bc1' and 'VPUI' folders should be here:

do you have these folders in "....Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC\" ?

Hey, are you enabling your mods, or trying to play straight from main menu? if i remember correctly, this UI being all messed up happens if you have VP installed, but try to start a game from main menu.
You either need to choos mods, enable all the mods, click next, and set up your game from there, or if you want to play straight from menu, install VP as modpack (there is thread with it pinned on the main VP forum)

Looks like I have another issue:

EDIT: Never mind, I fixed it by re-installing the mod, I think the cause was a prior experiment with the files.

Hi guys, me again.

I've reached around turn 240 in my game and the game keeps crashing, sometimes it's when I try to access the tech tree, other times its just when flipping from unit to unit.

This didn't not happen at all previously but now the game simply cannot progress.

The big change in how I play the game is a still fairly recent large-scale war agains a neighbour:

I have already tried to go back a few turns but when I reach around turn 242 the game just crashes again.

How can I solve this?

Wait a moment, I managed to solve the issue by following the instructions in this thread: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/civ-5-crashing-at-around-turn-200-every-game.693300/

In short for greater stability post turn 200:

• Leader screen to minimum graphic setting, (just a flat image)
• Turn off yield icons, you will need to be in the game to do this, it's not a menu setting.
• Try lowering graphic quality in general
• Try changing the resolution, things for me improved when I lowered the gHZ of whatever you call it.

Hopefully this helps someone!

It's a memory issue. You're zooming far out so many graphics are loaded on screen, which takes up precious memory space. Try not zooming out?

What's causing the ideological pressure here?

Brazil and I have 53.8% influence over each other, both at popular. I have 2387 culture output, 820 tourism. If I understand correctly, ideological pressure should come if we have a difference of influence over each other right? Then how come I'm being pressured, when we're both almost equal?

Also noticed that in the unhappiness menu, the display is "War Weariness / Public Opinion" and I've been at war with Brazil for a while. Could it be just war weariness? Or is there a mechanic between war weariness/public opinion?

The yield icons are the main culprit. Keep them off as much as you can. If want to reference them make sure you save your game before hitting Y

If you hover over "Dissidents" it will show a tooltip explaining where the pressure comes from.
