Without the slave specialist you would have right. If there wouldn´t be capitive military units which you can use as specialists with +10 production or science, gold and so on. The game can only be much more interessting when the K.I. is smart enough to do the same like the human player do. Collect as much as possible capitive slaves no matter how hard the beginning is to manage it. That´s the one of the reasons why i love this game so much. Be able with marines catch atlalists as slaves.
I began a new game and multiple production function well till yet. But the africa player and middle easter player like the north americans doesn´t want to research. The only research is from the other nations. Maybe it is nightmare difficult. But i turn on no handicap for human players and i have much more research points and the K.I. less, beginn with Neanderthal units. and a tribe so they have 2 cities in the beginning. What is not so bad, but this with the research penality is really unfair even on nightmare. As human player i must 3 times more collect food to get a city grow and the production of world wonders costs are doubled for human players. I could live with this huge penalites. But what is the most horrible since this SVN Patch i first used in my life is, that animals spawns really rare.So it has no sense to build much hunters for culture and science boosts, because there are not many animals.
It is now impossible to overtake the K.I. and total unfair. So i opended the world builder and build all myth wonders of land animals and sea animals. Even when you are really quick and visit as the first one the most natural wonders with merged stonethrowers and save and load till you get a technological boost you will be still after the K.I.
It would be only okay if in this patch would spawn a lots of animals like in the previous patches. No one can tell me, that this should be realistic with dangerous wildelife in the settings, that there are almost only neanderthals and barbarians, but no animals. I don´t want to patch it again yet, because i am scared you tell me it is okay to have this broken game now.
