[R&F] R&F Cultural Styles Preview in Asset Editor?

You would think the Zulus would get a new palace and art style, rather than share the one used by Kongo, which is already incredibly inaccurate. I mean, look at how the Russians got a whole new style because of Georgia. Surely the Zulus would do the same for Kongo if they were in?

Don't do this Firaxis. Don't give us plenty of new art styles for various East Asian and European civs and then completely generalize all of Africa as Timbuktus.

Yup, I think Zulu are incoming. My one hope is that they find a way to somehow make them not 100% warmonger (fat chance) or at least come up with some interesting uniques for them.

Oh and any chance we could have Robert the Bruce instead of Wallace for Scotland? Pretty please?

Cawdor (Macbeth) seems to fit.
This would make much more sense than Balmoral which is the estate of the British Crown. I'm guessing they're going for a pre 1707 Scotland. As a Scot myself have mixed feelings, nice to see us in but would have preferred an update from England -> Britain with city names from all over the UK.

Kongo already uses this one. It doesn't confirm the Zulu. But since Scots are in, I think it is highly likely that the Chinese leak was correct.
What, that's Kongo? It is indeed so inaccurate, i would have never expected. :crazyeye:

There is still the chance Shaka is a GG!

Robert the Bruce would be more appropriate. I hope if the leak is true, the Chinese poster simply wasn't up to snuff on his Scottish history. Fat chance, though, if he was doing localized translations.

I don't see what else the Zulu could be. Their inclusion is entirely built on being a series staple and part of that is being one of the premier warmongers. What else would they even do?

Maybe he confused Shaka with Mansa Musa. Mali would look good with that palace. (Wishful thinking)

You have my sympathies if Scotland is eventually revealed as being a Braveheart, kilt and bagpipe caricature. Early modern Scotland was one of the leading lights of the Enlightenment, but I doubt that will make the cut.

Well as they have an OP Adam Smith it seems they're aware...

Pretty sure all Palaces will be unique to each Civ from here on in.

That would be nice, also a cute game to find for RL models: England...

Spoiler :

¿can it be modeled after it Howard Castle?

Now I gonna change my votes in the poll again.....

Zulus and Scotland....not a big fan of the Zulus (even though they are a series staple), I would like a Scotland Civ, but not with William Wallace as the Leader.

maybe some of them palaces are also for the future (dlcs)?

Possibly, but that means that none of the remaining 3 (well, 2) unrevealed civs have a unique palace. I would think Ottomans/Byzantium, for instance, would have a unique style since Mongolia/Cree/Georgia/Netherlands all got unique styles, so I'm not sure what civs could share with current ones. I would say Inca, but that seems a bit unlikely after the other leak. Especially since it seems Scotland is getting a new palace as well.

Keep in mind that just because a unique Palace is not in there now does not mean one isn't coming. This appears to be a preparatory update, so likely more is coming when R&F drops.

Probably better than Mary, Queen of Scots, though ...
No argument from me! That would have been a "let's shoehorn in a female leader" opportunity well worth missing...

well i think one of the remaining three leaders is going to be female (for firaxis-style-gender-equality-reasons). since that mapuche guy is visibly male, one of the remaining 2 has to be female. so either shaka's now a woman or you'll have to come up with some good female scottish leaders!

Nandi could lead the Zulu? Would be weird though.

Not necessarily. There are only 5 female leaders in the vanilla game (excluding DLC) so 3 new leaders being female out of 9 total seems reasonably proportionate. I hope they don't shoehorn in a female leader for the sake of it when there are much more appropriate male candidates.
