I see your point. To be honest though there's not much of a community left here at Civ Fanatics nowadays, just the occasional new face making a couple of posts and some of the old crowd checking in now and again.
I think this issue may have got more of a response at Apolyton though generally the guys there prefer to focus on game issues rather than political debates.
I agree that the wording was rather insensitive but what do you want people to do about it? Launch a witch hunt to bring the perpetrator to justice? The author is probably long gone from the scene anyway!
I think most people have agreed that the wording was naive and unwise and that should be the enough. I really don't think that the subject warrants the attention it has been given. If civconquest3000 had not brought it up I doubt many people would have even noticed it!
It IS just a game and one persons mistake does not necessarily reflect the views of others. This debate could rumble on and on but I cannot see what there is to gain from continuing it. It was wrong, end of!
