:shakehead:
Sorry about this, guys. I was away for one day and then British Telecom decided to do interesting and unedifying things at their end of the phone line :gaaargh!:
Those flags. Ahem. Yes, well. I've been experimenting with XMLs, but I can't find out what the hell it is I did with my Palmyra mod that I haven't done this time. Also the crash-on-exit bug is royally annoying because, of course, if you're fiddling about as we are then you're going to be quitting and loading rather a lot.
I'll plug in the new xmls and art and see what happens.
Although that said, the flags are only really a cosmetic graphic. I'm more than happy trying to nail this rat down, but might our/my resources be better spent doing something rather more helpful? My lack of Python skills and unreliable posting notwithstanding
I'm really impressed with all the work! I can't help but shake the feeling I'm becoming somewhat obsolete...
Okay, I read through what Kael had to say about religion, and I must confess I'd never thought of that.
Thinking about it, is there anything else like that we can exploit?
Oh, btw reading back over the posts I missed

I see you had some difficulty in deciding where the players started. To be honest, I made the map before we decided on the civs, so I left starting locations out. That said, looking at the names of civs' cities and comparing them with the location names should give some idea...
Anyway, good job, people. I'll return to those flags in the meantime.
BTW, notice to all lurkers: Anyone who reads this and a) knows how to prevent the game from saturating flags, and b) doesn't want to see me suffer any longer, can you PLEASE stop lurking and tell me how to fix it? Thanks
EDIT: Lurkers, you may remain anyonymous! Problem fixed!
