If she's there for a few hours, surely the result is noticeable anyway?

You would think, but then I'm old.
When she goes in for coloring, I can figure that one out. But for a trim, it's iffy.
And I've learned that the length of time spent isn't a proper indication of work done.

I have very healthy ends, and when I'm growing my hair I only need to get a full trim once every six months or so. Normally I just go in for a 15-minute maintenance appointment. But while I'm there, I might take advantage of a few other services in the spa if my techs are available, or I might just talk to people (such as my makeup specialist) So I could easily be there an hour when I had barely more than 10 minutes of work done on my hair.

But then there's the nail jobs, pedicures, and the list goes on. Thank god, I never have to see the bills.

Shellac manicure I got on Friday was $55, with tip. I've easily spent $300+ in a single trip to the salon & spa.

I really didn't need to hear that. But at least I never have to pay those bills.

What the hell is it with people here? Nobody cares about being on time. Not a soul.

On the east coast, at least it was only douchebags who were late. Here, it's everyone. No exception. What is going on???

Plumber yesterday was seven hours late.

Two hours late and counting today.

In over five years of living here, the earliest someone has made it to an appointment is 15 minutes late. Never on time, and certainly never early. It is a joke.

And doctors. But a lot of times that was because the person ahead of you somehow managed to spend a full hour in their appointment.

I'm finally getting my bad tooth pulled tomorrow.

I'm terrified.

Have you talked to your dentist about your fear? They'll usually prescribe you an ativan or a xanax or something. One or two pills to take before you go.

Do they ever make your horse take a breathalizer test?

A little late for that now, unfortunately. :undecide:

At least roundabout these parts there is a legal difference between driving a lawntractor around inebriated(which from what I gather, came first) and riding your horse home from the bar while inebriated. Reasonably sure the horse has been teetotaling.

It took me around 9 hours spread out over 4 trips at my Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to register a boat trailer I bought out of state. I also had to visit a private enterprise as part of the whole ordeal but that only took about 15 minutes.

The need for a second trip was my and my dealer's fault as we messed up some paperwork. The fact that trips three and four were necessary is very demonstrative of why I get chills down my spine every time one of you well-meaning folks suggests a problem can be solved with more government.

Are you sure?
