I rant that I'm back in OT, thanks to a kind message by Nylan. This is a rant of joy.:D

To Nylan, In case the PM I sent was lost: Thanks! Your PM cheered me up a lot, as I was still pissed about the fights I was in.:thanx:

 then this should probably belong in the random raves thread instead, as rants are generally negative ;)

On that subject, however, OT needs to swallow it's pride and have some common decency. So long as those with little patience and those who are compensating for their personal lives continue to flame away new members, the quality of this section of the forum will continue to drop. I guarantee the vast majority of you, even the most respected and intelligent of you, posted foolishly, acted like a total n00b, or got in a horribly pointless flame war defending a ridiculous position. I think the "first post on CFC" thread is decent evidence of this. Many of you are ashamed of your first posts.

Then why do you attack those who are going through the same process? Get off your pedestals sirs (and the occasional lady ;) ) and take a look around. You were like them once, and they are indeed capable of the brilliant posts we see here on an occasional basis. The golden rule applies here more than ever.

So give a newbie a hand. Show them the ropes. Be a bit more patient with them, help them understand the rules of the forum and some decent netiquette (although a number of veteran posters have yet to master this...), and build a better community, will you? With the recent departure of a number of good posters, there are certainly shoes to fill.

Na-uh no way man. You cant just post that sort of thing and not be expected to tell more. Its basically the law.

I thought drunken nights normally resulted in the loss of wanted information, not the gaining of unwanted information.

People talk.

and its something completely explicit about someone i thought was respectable.

Though none of you will probably understand this I'll continue anyway.

I hate [pissed] umpires who give absolutely idiotic decisions. This one umpire gave us a sermon about the spirit of cricket that lasted 10 minutes right before th start of the game. Then when I'm in batting and I'm on 23 and had just got my eye in (I could feel that I would go on and make a big score too) I get a short ball, I go to pull it and I miss 'cause it kept a bit low, and it hits me in the upper thigh!!! [pissed] The opposition didn't even appeal and the umpire put his finger out! I'm 6'2" and its hit me in the upper THIGH!!! It was going well over the stumps. I got a stump later on after the match and proved it was going over the stumps. Talk about the spirit of cricket. [pissed][pissed][pissed][pissed][pissed][pissed][pissed]

I used this calculator program and realized that there's no way to get an A in ELA that I promised my mom unless I get a 107 on my exam!

Bastards....I say we handle those responsible for this, Jack Baur style.....

I rant that I find it ridiculous to give students an hour and forty five minutes to complete one freakin' exam. I'll be done with the exam in about half an hour and we can't leave until the time has completely gone out. Which means I'll sit on my thumbs for about an hour. Man I'll be in an interesting mood tomorrow.
